Yes, the killer was finally caught. It really was Michael. And I almost believed him, when he was insisting that he didn't kill her. They found concrete evidence to prove him the killer. Although he has still not confessed. But the evidence against him is solid.

According to what the Police said, Before, they couldn't find solid evidence to prove him guilty and they were starting to lose hope but everything changed when they received an anonymous tip from someone, they didn't really go deep into the identity of the person. What they did say was that he, yes they confirmed it was a he, he said something interesting to them and they were able to get a search warrant to search Michael's house where they found clothes covered in blood. They did some testing and they were able to conclude that the blood on the cloth was Karen's.
