Having suffered for so many years, Amadi was at the point of breakthrough when tragedy struck. If he did believe in fate, he would agree that an ill fate had befallen him. It looks as if there was no end to the dark tunnel, but the worst nightmare was just by the corner.

Adaku the mysterious girl

 Teacher Obi continued making his amorous advances to Adaku. He kept promising her heaven and earth but Adaku did not give him a thought. She was more focused on her studies. When Teacher Obi saw that Adaku was never going to give in to his demands, he began to threaten her. He made it clear that Adaku will never pass his subject. 


 Adaku did not take him seriously until she failed the preliminary test before the exam. Even though she wrote well in the test, Teacher Obi devised a means to fail her. She told all her friends about it and one of them suggested that she reports Teacher Obi to the principal. Adaku liked the idea but decided to confront Teacher Obi first. 


 She went to the teacher’s general office and saw Teacher Obi sitting behind his table, which was located at the centre of the office. She walked up to him, holding the exercise book she used for the test. 


 “Good morning, sir,” she greeted. 


 “Yes, what is it?” Teacher Obi sneered at her.
