CHAPTER VIII

"Last night, a corpse of a little girl with a stomach had been spilled and the guts went missing, was found. Until now, the police have not found any meaningful clues. According to rumors, the girl’s stomach was like being torn apart, not slaughtered, or cut off. You know with a knife or something. Her guts seemed to be pulled apart." Big G sits back in his chair, cupping his hands over his bloated stomach. He looks at the two teenagers with satisfaction, knowing this news would pique their interest. "I can't believe you haven't heard this. The news is already on TV." he adds.

Aidan and Josh look at each other. Aidan immediately grabs the backpack and pulls out a laptop. He sets a hot-spot on his cellphone and starts searching for the news on the internet.

Josh turns to look at Big G. "You know, one of the uses of WI-FI in eating places is for these kinds of things." His hand points at Aidan's laptop. "We need to research this kind of news."

"Oh, well," says Big G, getting up from his seat. "Your friend already knows how to solve it," he continues, pointing at Aidan's cell phone and patting Josh on the shoulder and then leaving.

"That guy, I honestly think he was just stingy, using the reason that people who eat here have to talk. See, only elderly people who like to gossip come to this place.” Josh grunts.

Aidan simply nods while still staring at the laptop screen. He actually does not hear any Josh's words, but it seems he just has to respond him.

"You know what creature did this? It must be the one we saw last night," Aidan grumbles as he continues to look for news. "You have to see this, Josh." He shifts the laptop toward Josh.

"Bethany Moore, three years old, was found dead this morning. This little girl was found lifeless near Lake Brook, Mountain Upper Side. Police have not provided much information about the cause of her death, but a source said that the girl died of mutilation. Her body was not intact and her internal organs were gone. So, this is real, "Josh whispers. He put his half-eaten fried chicken.

"Josh?"

"Hey, can we at least we finish the food? Then we can meet Uncle Zac and talk about this creature, okay? "

"OK. Hey, how about the jewelries? What did you do with those stolen goods?" Aidan asks, as he suddenly remembers the stolen jewelries.

"Consider it done." Josh smiles meaningfully.

"What did you do with the jewelry?” Aidan asks curiously.

"I put it on Miss Wilde's desk." Josh smiles triumphantly.

"What? How?" says Aidan with a confused face.

"Easy peasy, just wait until Miss Wilde visits the clinic as usual. Then, make Judy leaves her desk, Easy."

"I just want to see her face when she finds the jewelries." Aidan imagines Miss Wilde's stiff face when she finds them just lying on her office desk.
