When one morning a little girl is found lifeless on the shores of Lake Brook with her insides torn apart and missing, Joshua Dawson and Aidan Reid only have until the next full moon to prevent the killer monster from searching for its second victim.

Unusually, Winter Smith sits down with Aidan and Josh during lunch. Curious, she interrogates the two young men. 


"What happened in the basement? I know something extraordinary happened." Winter is showing her enthusiasm, ready to listen all the events that transpired last Saturday. 


Aidan and Josh exchange looks, weighing how much they are going to tell to her. 


"Oh, well... probably not much of difference from what you experienced." 


Winter looks at Aidan in disbelief. "No way. I could see it from your faces when you exited the building.” The girl takes turns looking at Aidan and Josh. "And, what's with the equipment you brought? Can of salt? Iron knife? It is like you guys were anticipating something to happen. What are your goals? Or, perhaps more accurately, what exactly are you? There's no way such well-prepared, well-equipped people, would run like that if nothing extraordinary happened."
