ANNIE’S POV
A dim light escaped from the cell door in welded iron bars, the smell of pungent and musky odor, the cold room of bricks and stones, nothing inside, no bed, no comfort room, and darkness covered like swallowing us to death of nothingness.
The tears swelling up in my eyes, a cry of despair inside me, and a heavy blockage of my fire magic, feeling like I am tied up from head to toe.
I have to fight death! I have to fight for my husband and Luna.
Then the dryness inside my mouth, hardly moving my lips, and I swallow hard “Kai...” my low, scratchy voice echoes inside the huge room.
I haven’t heard any response but... a panting sound, from my opposite corner, is visible in my ears.
“Kai... Kai?” I repeatedly called out in a whisper.
“Annie?” his rough voice and difficult breathing push me to move towards his direction, crawling and touching the rough flooring blindly avoiding any sharp objects that might cause me wounds or injury that I do not want to incur.
