Ezekiel Jiang has his hands full when a deadly conspiracy threatens to destroy the world - all because the Crown of Fire, an object with magical abilities, was stolen.
At first, it was only about recovering the crown. But things start to get complicated when secrets that shouldn't have come out made him question the motives of everyone he thought he knew. The past was catching up quick and it was nothing less than a threat.
Time was slipping away from his grasp and he had only cold leads.
Enter Irene and Genevieve Pierce. Two sisters who could easily rule the world if they wanted to. With goddess-like looks and lethal intelligence, they suddenly offer their help to Ezekiel for locating the crown.
But what was their personal motive behind all of it? Why were they so sure they could find the crown before something bad happens?
Mostly, what was this past that tied them all together?
Excerpt:
The way she looked was bound to take any man's breath away. Dressed in an elegant rose-gold dress, she walked on her high heels like she owned the place. Golden eye makeup that looked like a belt of asteroids rested on the sharp, winged eyeliner that accentuated her brown eyes and a smirk on her nude painted lips dipped with the confidence of a huntress coming to hunt her prey. She had an aura of power that surrounded her, an aura that made her shine with radiance yet capable enough to burn anyone who dared to mess with her.
Nice plot, story development is great. I love the way author does the character development and show the sister bonding one by one. And the slow mystery revealing. It's really peaking my interest.
I've always loved straightforward stories that don't beat around the bush and this one starts from the first line. The story flows and you enjoy following it. The characters are well constructed, as are the dialogue and descriptions. I look forward to future developments in this story.
The setting of the story is easy to understand, the little hints given per chapter are tantalizing, the characters are consistent but are developing with the story as well, and there is a possible budding romance. What more could I ask?
I am liking the plot and the story seems very interesting from what I have read until now. The grammatical errors are null and the author's efforts of portraying everything is great. The mysterious vibe in the plot keeps it interesting. looking forward to read more [img=recommend][img=recommend][img=recommend]
I have always loved a good mystery book and this book has this with the missing Crown of Fire. I do sense some chemistry between one of the female character and the male character and I hoped it does turned out for them (I shall not name them coz I don't want to give out spoilers and hiding this comment by turning on spoiler alert won't be fair.) Story is well written and descriptive. Keep up the good work author. I had already add to collection and can't wait to read more!
