Xial's fever would break during the night, and with the worst of his condition passing, thanks to the medicine and constant care Mae gave him overnight, Xial was up and about the following morning feeling like his old self. His attitude, however, remained gone. Opposite his previous sharp and defensive temperament, he had become humble and appreciative. Mostly, he laid out in the center of the valley, his size rivaling that of Karanosi, and the silver of his scales reflected the scenery around him like a mirror. He was a dragon, and he wanted to be his larger self for as long as possible having missed the feeling of the wind passing over his scales for all the years he had been cursed.
