Art for a Sword

~Chapter 170~

There was a great deal of conversation that occurred over dinner, and by the end everyone was full and satisfied, with the quality of the food far surpassing that of the conversation.

Vashul'Rin had also regained full use of his wing, and after taking a look at the bounty for himself, at Jao'faryn's insistence, he assured Baas and Mae that they would have the full support of the city guard at their disposal, before departing several minutes later.

While all seemed well at the time of Rin's departures, Mae could only hope that his change of perspective would stick, for once he was back amongst those that lacked his new outlook, she feared he would forget all he learned in lieu of what was familiar and in-line with his peers. However, despite her worries, she kept her thoughts to herself, not wanting to spoil whatever progress Baas had made towards a version of reconciliation with his family.
