Before The Last Stand

Oxoluz, Farah, Leviant, Aexis, and Soleil arrived safely at Erthano. They are welcomed by Thalia by the gates with a satisfied smile in her lips. Thalia then spoke to the others who is now in front of her, "have you learned the secrets of your ancestry?" Thalia asked and Farah turned her gaze to Soleil before answering.

"We haven't," she began and looked at her team before continuing.

"We came back here for, I see to it that Ysandria is already building up her attack and we aren't ready yet. I want all of you to be ready and prepare our army, make protections and evacuate our people to the safest place we know," she added and everyone nodded in agreement.

"Soleil and I will be going to Solaria and take her people here as well, while the two of us will go to the catacombs," Farah finished and Soleil smiled at her.

Farah and Soleil as about to leave when suddenly Oxoluz held Farah's hand, "be safe for me," he said and Farah smiled and nodded.

The next moment was then so unexpected and sudden, when Oxoluz pulled Farah close to him and claimed her lips. "Promise me you'll be safe," Oxoluz said but Farah was lost at words, she was still shock of what have happened.

All she did was nodded and then Soleil and Farah left Erthano. Leviant along with Aexis prepared their army. Thalia then prepared hers and Oxoluz is the one who took charge on evacuating the civilians.

Ysandria was in a room, alone with Fellion's dead body. She did keep Fellion's body for she have a plan to use his dead body against Farah. A smirk painted in her lips before she called the strongest shadow bringer.

"Thallon," Ysandria called and Thallon opened the door and entered. Ysandria then turned her gaze to Thallon and she smiled and revealed the three elemental stones she have collected.

She made all the stones float in the air and started chanting. "Eliminia deitario, fenoria telirio," Ysandria chanted and suddenly her eyes turned black and all of a sudden, Fellion's body stood up on it's own as if it was alive.

After the enchantment, Ysandria returned the stoned in her possession. She kept it in her neck, inside a locket. Ysandria then turned her gaze to Thallon and spoke, "possess his body. We'll use him against one of their greatest leader— Thalia."

Thallon then turned into a shadow and possessed Fellion's body. Fellion's eyes then opened and it spoke, the same voice as Fellion but it was Thallon's soul who was inside, "greetings, Queen Ysandria," Thallon said in Fellion's body.

Ysandria then started laughing and laughing all over again. Her laughter echoed in the place. A few seconds have passed before she spoke, "my plan is ready. Gazaria, here I come."

Soleil and Farah then reached the magical land of Solaria and the first thing they did was call the generals of the land to take the people of Solaria to Erthano.

Soleil and Farah are now in the throne room waiting for the two generals. In a few second the two generals arrived and Soleil walked to them and quickly spoke, "General Ivy, General Onix," Soleil greeted and gave a bow, the two generals did the same.

"No more introductions, evacuate our people to Erthano and bring the whole battalion with you, we are now at war," Soleil said and the two generals nodded and left.

Soleil then turned Farah and nodded before speaking, "let's go." Soleil said and Farah nodded.

The two of them went to the hidden catacomb in Solaria quickly. The both of them know that they shouldn't waste any time now that Ysandria is ahead of them.

They faced the end of the path and Farah opened it. Soleil wanted to enter but she didn't, she suddenly just asked Farah... "Why didn't you tell me you're the white phoenix?" Soleil asked that somehow shocked Farah.

Soleil's question was so sudden. "Why are you asking me this right now? It's so sudden," Farah answered and Soleil took a deep breath before replying.

"I was your best friend why didn't you tell me? I don't know why so please tell me why didn't you tell me," Soleil replied and Farah bit her lower lip before replying.

"You know how much I wanted a normal life, that is why I didn't tell you. I only told you that Gazaria made me the one in charge for the whole kingdom and not the white phoenix because that isn't what I want. I never wanted this kind of life and that is why I tried burying it," Farah answered as tears slowly escaped her eyes.

Soleil knew how much her best friend wanted a simple life. A life in just a simple home near the places she likes to wander. Soleil then embraced her best friend.

"Stop crying, I understand now," Soleil said and Farah hugged her best friend back.

After a few minutes the two of then started laughing. The two understand each other the most. They have treated each other as if they are sisters already.

The two then stopped laughing and smiled at one another, "you ready?" Farah asked Soleil with a smile.

Soleil nodded and then hugged Farah again and Farah did the same, "I'm ready," Soleil replied and entered the room.

When Soleil entered the room, it was a simple white room and in front of her stand a woman. "Welcome lady Soleil," it greeted her and gave a bow.

As a sign of respect she did the same and smiled. "Your test is about knowing yourself," the woman began and Soleil nodded as she listens.

"In order for you to do so, be ready," the woman added and then it disappeared. The room then turned into mirrors and she saw herself.

Different versions of herself and they started whispering, from those whispers, it turned into talking and turned into screams.

The voices were saying the things that she hates the most, the things she's insecure at. The voices are ruining her mind and changing her belief abound herself. She didn't know what to do she wants to cry.

Though suddenly she realized... Their opinion doesn't matter, it is how much she knows herself without other's input. Soleil took a deep breath and focus on the voices she is making in her mind.

She was focusing her mind and doing her best, that others' opinion doesn't matter. It is how much she knows herself and no one else can define her expect her own. After a few seconds, the voices disappeared and it went back to normal.

The woman then reappeared and what shocked her is that she can read her thoughts. She have read that the woman was proud of her. That the woman is happy that she did it.

"Yes, what you have learned is what you have been reading in me right now," the woman said and smiled before it disappeared. Soleil as well smiled and went back to the Farah.

Soleil read Farah and she as well saw that Farah— Farah was proud of her. The two then left Solaria with a smile in their faces. They finally did it. They have learned new skills.

Yes they did but the question is, will it be enough to go ahead Ysandria now that she has more tricks than they know. "Be ready Farah," said Ellenia in her cauldron, watching Farah.

Ellenia then spoke again as if Farah will hear her, "Farah, don't make the same choice as I did. Don't make the same mistake I did hundreds of years ago."
