Chapter 25: Bone Shattering Pill

"What did you do to them, you wretch!" After he said that, Gou Boquin got up from the ground and rushed up to attack Feng Ming Xiu. Although Feng Ming Xiu knocked them out, she still had Gou Boquin to deal with, and he was in the foundation-building stage. She was at the golden core stage so she was stronger.

She dodged the attack and hit his jaw and threw a pill in his mouth.

Gou Boquin tried to spit out the pill, but the pill instantly melted in his mouth. "What did you feed me? Give me the antidote now!" Gou Boquin shouted and said.

Feng Ming Xiu smiled and started walking away." I just gave you a little something called the bone-shattering pill."

Just as Gou Boquin wanted to chase after her, he suddenly heard cracking in his body. It was his bones moving in his body. It was so painful, and he dropped to the ground and groaned in pain.

His bones twisted into weird shapes and pointed out of his body, and some of his bones came through his body. Blood came out of the places of his skin that his bones came out of, and Gou Boquin screamed in agony. It looked especially terrifying to look at.

Feng Ming Xiu did not look back and continued walking. The boy ran behind her and held her dress.

Feng Ming Xiu looked down at the boy. "What is it, kid?"

"Are you okay, beautiful sister?"

"Yes." Feng Ming Xiu stooped down. "Were you not scared by what happened just now?"

"I am scared, but they deserved it for doing that to you." The boy said.

The boy was wearing a blue robe and his hair was held up by a jade crown. He also had a cute face that made anyone who saw his face want to squeeze it.

"Well...who are your parents?"

"I lost them."

"Oh." Feng Ming Xiu patted the boy's head when she saw him looking so depressed. 'This front of the city is quite bustling, so it's not a surprise that he lost his parents.'

"Where did you lose your parents at?" Feng Ming Xiu asked the boy.

"When we entered the city, there were a lot of people and I suddenly didn't see my parents anymore."

"Were your parents planning on enrolling you into Junior Dragon Howl Sect?"

"Yes." The boy nodded.

"Then do you want us to search for them together?"

"Really? You'll help me look for them?" The boy looked at Feng Ming Xiu with tears almost coming out of his eyes.

"Of course." Feng Ming Xiu smiled.

"Ying'er!" Feng Ming Xiu heard a female voice and looked up to see a woman who seemed to be in her thirties. There was a man next to her who seemed to be in his thirties as well.

The boy looked at the man and the woman and ran to them and hugged them as tears flowed out of his eyes. "Mom! Dad!"

"Ying'er! We were so worried when we couldn't find you!" Tears came out of the woman's eyes as she stooped down and hugged the boy.

'They're his parents?' Feng Ming Xiu looked at the pair and smiled and stood up.

The man looked at the pair that were hugging and smiled and came to Feng Ming Xiu. "I, Zhu Zhihao, thank you for looking out for my son." Zhu Zhihao cupped his fists.

"No need to thank me. But, I must say, your son is quite brave."

"What?"

"Nothing." Feng Ming Xiu shook her head. "Well then, I'm off."

Feng Ming Xiu turned around and headed toward the forest. "Are you headed to Dragon Howl Sect to enroll there?"

"Yes." Feng Ming Xiu said while continuing walking.

"We can book a room for you in the inn we're staying in! The night is coming soon." Zhu Zhihao shouted to Feng Ming Xiu who was walking away.

"No need. I'm good with camping in the forest." Feng Ming Xiu refused his offer.

"Well...thank you again. If you need anything, you're welcome to visit the Zhu Family Clan!"

"Sure!" Feng Ming Xiu waved her hand and continued walking.

The family did nothing and watched as Feng Ming Xiu got further and further away.

After walking for an hour or so, Feng Ming Xiu left the city and entered the forest.

'After I pass through this forest, I'll reach Dragon Howl city.' Before Feng Ming Xiu could enter the forest, she heard a voice behind her.

"I have to say, you were very ruthless back there." Feng Ming Xiu already knew someone was following her and noticed the other person didn't have any killing intent and didn't expose them all this time.

Feng Ming Xiu smiled and folded her hands across her chest. "I did all of that back there, so I thought that you'd be scared and won't come in front of me, but you're very brave."

The girl in front of her looked about her age. Feng Ming Xiu was taller than girls at her age, and the girl in front of her was about the height of her chin. She was wearing a green dress and had a good figure as well as a beautiful face.

The girl didn't seem to be embarrassed to be found out and just smiled. "I was going in the same direction and seeing you were going the same route, I'm assuming you're going to enroll in Dragon Howl Sect as well?"

"Yes." After she said that, she turned around and went into the forest.

"Hey, wait for me!" She ran and caught up with Feng Ming Xiu. "Since we're both going to enroll in the Dragon Howl sect, why don't we go together?"

"I don't like to travel with people."

"But going together, you would at least be together and not be alone, and we can protect each other." The girl said.

"You're escaping from someone." Feng Ming Xiu said.

The girl sighed. "Is it that obvious?"

Feng Ming Xiu turned around and faced the girl while saying to her: "On my way here, I passed through some cities and I heard that the Murong family is searching for a girl that escaped a month ago."

"They say she is the adopted daughter of the Patriarch of the clan. She is very talented in the Chinese language, and calligraphy, and she reached the Foundation Building stage at the age of 15, so the Patriarch wanted to marry her to the young master of the Yuchi family clan, but she escaped because she didn't want to marry him. Your name is Murong Hua Lei."
