Okiki-Osupa, who had paid a secret attention to the discussion of Osabiegun with Eleburu and even to the words of Oranmiyan could not be more disappointed as she slowly and eventually gushed out a stream of tears.

Osukapo, who could not pretend not to have seen her, braced her with a hug from behind and in a whisper she comforted her heart with words.

Definitely, a tree can only be seen as productive if it has many leaves and multiple fruits, as she said and which she had likened to the case of Oranmiyan.

According to the culture, a king was always expected to have more than a wife but this cannot mean she cannot be the most loved for Oranmiyan already made up his mind and her alone, won his heart again and again.

Even as Osukapo would think she gave Okiki-osupa some sort of solace, Okiki-osupa only wailied more loudly to which she had no choice than to quickly hold her away from the corner of her hide lest, she be seen and be punished for a sin which disrespected the King.

Osabiegun in confidence looked at Eleburu yet again without a single stare on the glittering golds and silver which lay yet before him.

Come back again in three days were his word to which Eleburu had no choice than to harken upon and with all his entourage, they trooped back to their horses which gently walked them away.

The chiefs and elders who still fixed their eyes on the golds and silvers which still remained before them asked Osabiegun if it was necessary to confirm their interest from their new deities since it was already the culture for a King to have more than a queen.

Only Balogun, a Chief and commander of the warriors, was with the interest of Osabiegun. According to him, a cat which is slow and all of a sudden nicer, only has the desire to secretly finish all the meat. And if the history of Ilupeju really indicates they have never gone to war, what guarantee they will not be the first Ilupeju will war with.

In his words, as he explained, even further condemned all the gifts they brought, for a lot of gifts had always instructed an evil mindset and the hope they fell for it was the only prayer of Eleburu.

For a war they should quickly lay on Ilupeju before Ilupeju seizes them with war when they are not looking and if golds and silvers is their weakness shall they get in even larger quantities when Ilupeju becomes another defeated kingdom like Efon.

Even before he was able to complete his words, Balogun looked right at Osabiegun and quickly fell before him as he pleaded for permission to be allowed to gather all his warriors and battle with Ilupeju. For he is certain he will come back with a victory and a feast they shall celebrate for yet another of their enemy is defeated.

But what if their intention was noble was the question of Oranmiyan which came out silently but loud enough for everyone to hear.

Balogun who remained fallen on the ground could not without the permission of Osabiegun grow back on his feet for even that was believed to be a disrespect to the presence of the king.

But certainly, his shock for the words of Oranmiyan festered on his face as he could not help but fix a persistent look at him.

An elephant walks in peace and a lion which is always hostile thinks twice before he beckons an attack. For with only the push of his trunk shall the elephant be victorious and even if Ilupeju had not gone to war with any kingdom before was powerful for even Ifa-ile to rush into a war with.

Just because of their powerful economic activities which fester into more kingdoms and as a reason for economic benefit. Other Kingdoms might ally with Ilupeju in a thunderstorm which might smight ifa-ile, their own kingdom into pieces.

But if Oranmiyan had no faith in the witches was the word Balogun threw at him even on the ground where he remained. Efon was more of a powerful Empire which was never defeated even so with their numbers and war tactics. Just because of their own backup shall their power of darkness prevail over their numbers and victory shall become their name again.

Oranmiyan who almost opened his mouth for a response to which he intended to condemn Balogun for his foolishness to have believed he doubted the power of the witches was shunned with the interruption of Osabiegun who asked the reason for the debate Oranmiyan and Balogun finds each other.

A command to which Balogun quickly jumped on his feet Osabiegun voiced and the eldest priest he sent one of the royal guards to bring to his presence with immediate alacrity.

The royal bard who had not waited a moment the instant Osabiegun closed his mouth for further words praised him as the King a man dare not obey. A King like the gods who eats the strict adherence of his subject as sacrifice.

With a song he began yet again, after he grabbed his hands on the royal hand fan which he used to gently comfort the breeze on Osabiegun. Like the eagles of the sky he sang, which soared up in the high heaven had Osabiegun sat in the highest throne that no man dared look down upon.

With his little finger he tosses his enemies away into a pit of no return. And an enemy as a friend he detected with his fin to which he kicked them into their binds in the dungeon where they would decay forever.

And like a father like son, Osabiegun became like his father and his father became like his father's father for even Oranmiyan was not any different. Just what story will be told, if a lion gives birth to a frog with no claws and teeth?

With a lift of a finger had Osabiegun silenced the royal bard as the eldest priest arrived. And yet even before the words of Osabiegun which he would have instructed one of the chiefs to narrate their interest, the eldest priest began with the knowledge of the reason he had been called upon.

For the witches had made him hear everything that had been discussed and certainly, the intention of Eleburu was not of any evil but a pure interest of a relationship with Ifa-ile.

Commendation had the witches sent to Osabiegun as according to the eldest priest if he had not sent for him to hear the interest of the witches had the witches planned for him to lose his prince whom he so much cherished and wanted to gift a wife so hastenly.

And for the only reason that he did the needful should Osabiegun allow the interest of Eleburu to come to pass and as according to the culture shall Oranmiyan have more than a queen.

But with a stringent condition shall they harken to the tradition of their land for a male child born at dusk shall be offered to the witches who shall prevent them from any repercussion that may come and may not come.

In the middle of the night shall they all march to the T-junction with a lady who has not yet known a man for only her is cleansed enough to offer to them the sacrifice.

For this sacrifice must not be done after seven days but in seven days in which also the marriage between Oranmiyan and Okiki-osupa must have taken place as the witches had already tied their nut in the spirit and definitely, the spirit shall control the physical.

And with no gladden heart shall they receive the gift of Eleburu for it is not the pride of the witches for anything that glitters and if deviated from this instruction shall Osabiegun and his son, Oranmiyan and all of the chiefs and elders crawl on their knees as animals for the rest of their days on earth.

If that would be all, the eldest priest said boldly as he shunned his mouth immediately and speedily even than his leg could carry him walked back to the shrine.

Even in the absence of the eldest priest, silence began to prevail as the chiefs and elders lacked the words to say even Oranmiyan who remained standing beside his father had nothing but disappointment as he continued to glue his eyes on the gold glittering into his eyes.

Osabiegun with a single word braced up on his feet and he dashed into his chamber as he noted that the marriage between Oranmiyan and Okiki-osupa comes up at the first rise of the sun.

With only this had the chiefs and elders all at once dabble on their fastest speed for their separate homes and even Oranmiyan who had not waited any moment braced his leg for his chamber to which Okiki-osupa awaits him.
