66. The River of Blood

Even with this had the peril of Ifa-ile still continued without the knowledge of Oranmiyan and his Chiefs and Elders who seemed happily away enjoying the fresh bosom their eyes can behold and the dances their eyes could witness.

Verily had Oranmiyan also in this strength laid with Ewee; the Queen while the rest of the Chiefs and Elders  and the hunters and the royal bard and the royal slaves had remained in the palace.

As it was so that after the delivery of the message of Yemoja by the virgin girl at the river of Osun had the people of Osun let out resounding shouts and praises. For what she said remained good news to them and so were they happy and not only happy, they also showed their gratitude by their shouts.

This moment which led everyone at the shrine back on the way to the palace only to feed and verily much in their gratitude, made Oranmiyan welcome the idea that it shall be a good moment for him yet to offer his gifts to the Queen.
