Long before the contemporary times, in the olden days of Africa, every male child born at dusk were used for sacrifice to appeal the witches. Although this act met resistance from the villagers who begged and sought-after salvation from the oppressive tradition of child sacrifice, nonetheless, the practise continued for centuries upon centuries until one very day, when King Oranmiyan, who was unable to produce a male offspring, became fortunate to bear his very first and last Prince. Even though the prince was born at dusk, everything changed when he failed to offer his son's life as a sacrifice as the culture had demanded. The witches grew angry and chaos began.

The Sorcerer's King: ways of the witches

In her words to the rest of the witches, had she felt a wave within her when they were yet dancing and she felt uneasy and scared, that she would tremble in horror and it shall be so that she felt a power which was more than theirs.

And who shall be this, was the question of one of the witches. And in the words which she said further can there be no one on this earth who shall be more powerful than they were. And if there shall be anyone, shall they immediately battle with, and cause him his death, before he shall come to them and send them into an everlasting mute.

But that she had not known was the response of the Eldest witch and immediately she rose to her feet and thus lifted her hands into the sky and in her fierce tone she called out the words of incantations only to make appear in her hand the water of reflection.
