Startling changes (1)

Five minutes ago,

The old warlock and his son Hester had just briskly walked through the rear exit of the manor as they walked out into the open grounds.

The father-son pair walked towards the old woman Riverra who now sat beside Fiona with her right palm on the plump woman's back. She was deep in thought as she looked ahead at the flames trying to crack the barrier. Fiona seemed to have her eyes closed in front of the barrier from the inside as the latter held her palms facing forward.

As the old man with the cane approached Riverra in front of him, he called out, "Sister."

Meanwhile, Hester greeted the old witch's back respectfully with a slight bow, "Greetings Aunt."

"Brother, Hester, what took you all so long?," spat out Riverra in a slight annoyance at her nephew and nodded as she acknowledged the old warlock and her nephew, who had finally arrived.
