Confessing Their S̶i̶n̶ Crimes

Shiki's 'blitzkrieg' left the whole group in a panic state as the thought that their leader was already taken out was soaked in their minds. Blood started to gush out of Kabane's face as Shiki lifted it while grabbing his hair. "That's what you get for getting the pocket money of students here in Nagoya City. What did you say your monthly salary was? 31 million yen? How dare y— oh, he's out cold."

"What a waste." Shiki sighed as he kicked Kabane by the stomach and poured water on his head. He thought that doing so would wake him up but he didn't. He just continued lying face down on the ground.

The two dozen henchmen under Kabane all assumed fighting stances but they didn't want to get near Kabane. Thoughts like 'he's a psycho' or 'he's crazy' constantly floated in their heads, making them question their decisions in life. In truth, they were already beginning to wonder why they belong to the Red Wolf Gang in the first place.

Sekiguchi Ryota, Ito Taka, Seta Masaki, Yama Shinji, and Araki Isao immediately recognized the person standing in front of them. However, their reactions after meeting him were completely different from the past. Before, all they could see was a weak kid who gets asthma a lot. But now, they still could see a lean kid in front of them, the only difference was that this kid was one-sidedly beating two dozen or so gangsters, fully-armed, and probably five years or so older than him.

"You're not approaching me? Well then, let me approach you. I can't beat the living daylights out of all of you if you're not near enough." He said. "And don't you think of escaping. The moment someone comes out of that door, I'm going to slit your leader's throat and hang him upside down like a chicken being prepared to be dressed. You do know I'm telling the truth, right?"

Everyone stood still for a few seconds before nodding their heads. When they realized that they were totally obeying every word that Shiki told them, they were raged. A split second later, they started charging, pouncing, and attacking Shiki in a fit of desperation.

But Shiki didn't come for them, they were just victims who were caught in the crossfire of his actual mission. So without wasting any second, he started hitting everyone on their vital points. One by one, the men fell unconscious on the ground, but not after suffering a few injuries, courtesy of Shiki.

"You ought to learn your lesson... in jail." Shiki dusted himself off before approaching the five high schoolers. "Why do you call yourselves the number one gang in Nagoya when you can't even hold a candle in front of a teenager. Honestly, what a bunch of trash bags."

Sekiguchi Ryota was the first one to respond, kneeling in front of Shiki while rubbing his hands against each other. "Shiki, we're sorry, we were foolish. We were wrong! Please forgive us! Please forgive us, it was an accident, please." He desperately cried as tears and snot rolled off his face. His pants also became wet as pee trickled from them.

"Forgive you? Hey, Ryota... do you think your forgiveness will bring everything back?" Shiki didn't hesitate to kick Ryota on his left cheek, sending him skittering rightwards as a couple of teeth fell from his mouth. His face was already swollen to the point that it was turning into a disgusting shade of purple.

"And you,Taka, Masaki, Shinji, Isao, is it cool following this guy around?" Shiki continued. "Don't forget, you were the ones who're at fault for listening to your leader's orders. What you did may be an accident but that's going too far. If I didn't become strong, would I even receive an apology from you?"

As if that wasn't enough Shiki pulled out his mobile phone. "I'm going to give you one last chance, but if you don't comply, then I'll just beat you up right here and now. It would be bad if you stayed in limbo for long, however, you might end up dying." Shiki commented, implying that he will beat them up until they're inches away from death if they don't comply.

The five of them nodded.

"Now, tell me everything you did, and speak towards this phone. If you don't, I'm going to do as you did to my friend." Shiki called out. "And let me tell you that you'll feel more pain if I do it slowly."

The group of five high schoolers shuddered at the thought as they started confessing their crimes one by one. Starting from two years ago when they were still in middle school, until now. Even Shiki couldn't help but feel wrathful at their confessions since some of their crimes would rather not be mentioned.

Included in the crime was that one time they pushed someone off the school building, but the one they pushed got saved by another student. Because of that, the one who saved the student was actually the one who fell off the rooftop, and he almost died. Shiki could clearly remember that day, it was forever burned, etched in his memory.

Throughout the recording, there were times when he wanted to beat the five high schoolers midway... but he suppressed his anger and continued filming. He kept reminding himself that once it's over, he could finally beat them up mercilessly.

And that's exactly what he did.

In the next few minutes, the five high schoolers received a year or two's worth of beatings. When it was all over, Shiki piled them up on one side and took a photo of them. 'This is more than enough.' He said to himself as he headed out of the streets.

Since the half-built building was in front of a busy street, Shiki need only throw a couple of stones to attract a few passers-by. It was a cinch fleeing from the scene since Shiki had already pre-planned his escape route. Walking out from the scene of the crime, Shiki could still feel his fists shaking as his mind told him that beating them all up was not enough. He badly wanted to go back to give them a second round of beating but he knew he should hold back... otherwise they'll really die.

A few seconds later, he got home and uploaded the video on Youtube, showing everyone the embarassming high schoolers who were beaten up by an underclassman. They confessed to a lot of crimes, including the ones done by the Red Wolf Gang. And pretty soon, the video blew up, and policemen were dispatched in the hospital to arrest the entire Gang. A few witnesses and victims came forward as well, and one of them was Shiki.

All of these happened in one night.

Shiki was also careful not to let the police track him down. That's why, before he attacked the Red Wolf Gang, he contacted a dealer in the subways of Tokyo, buying a phone from him. He then discarded it as soon as he uploaded the video.

"I guess I should get some ramen tonight." It was a long day and he just stopped by a public restroom to ease himself. After stretching his arms and legs, he headed towards a nearby ramen stand, ordering the most expensive ramen there is. "Too bad, Yuuta should've joined me at such a fine night... with this, I hope those Red Wolf Gang members would learn their lesson. Should I go after the other gangs who are harassing the citizens?"

"Nope, probably not... not yet." Shiki told himself. After all, it'd be best if he lay low for now.

After two years, Shiki has finally achieved his carefully-laid-out goal. And now, he didn't have to worry about these guys bullying his friend again.

Not that Yuuta could ever be bullied at this point though. As far as he knows, Yuuta is leaps and bounds stronger than him. There's no way anyone could defeat him in a one-on-one fight.

With this reassuring thought, Shiki dug in on his ramen, taking in a mouthful of hot noodles that easily slid down his throat. Because of all the fighting he did a few minutes ago, he felt exceptionally hungry.

"Pops, can I order one more bowl?" He lightly called out, totally enjoying the rest of his 'uneventful' night.
