But in 2044, Lucid Dreams became another fabric of reality when a famous VR game developer invents what's called the Lucid Dream Server— a Server that can tap into anyone's head and enable them to play a VRMMORPG in their lucid dreams! 

Sakurai Yuuta, who has been blind for two years, was given a chance to be a beta tester of the game. But when 'game bugs' started to appear and mess with the game and the real world, The fine line between dreams and reality became muddled, and it's up to him to discover the secrets that lies behind the Lucid Dream Server.

When the Lucid Dream Server Corp. announced the new upcoming update for the Lucid Dream Server VRMMORPG, Dreamers and Lucidians alike thought that the new update would come to the world in a few days time... but what they didn't expect was for the update to come all at once, making them oddly confused as to why.

Even Yuuta, who had just witnessed the teleportation device change its color to blackish-red, was shocked at the fact that the devs would put up an update without even announcing it a few days prior. Now that the Gladiator Mode and Boss Raid updates are out, it was up to every Dreamer and Adventurers to try those game modes out without even knowing anything about it.

And then... the unthinkable transpired without anyone expecting it. It was like a bomb, counting down its seconds before it finally blew up and turned into a big mess.
