"What the fuck did you send over, Nicky?" Laurie is screaming over the phone at six fucking  o'clock in the morning.

"It has a note. And I believe that the message was clear." the name Nicky answered.

"Well that's exactly, why I am asking!"  she exclaimed angrily, glaring at the innocently looking red leather pill box, that is instantly recognizable as a famous jewelry brand, sitting on her kitchen counter, with a note that says - I heard you cry over a guy, here's a small gift to let you know that I'd marry you anytime.

With the familiar scrawling penmanship in the white piece of paper, she would know who sent her the note, even without calling the guy on the phone.

"Hey, what do we have here," Tao hooted, watching Laurie and Dominic, sitting next to each other on the sofa.

Laurie, hearing the teasing from them, consciously moved away from Dominic but his arm was draped on the two-seater couch backrest and there isn't really much face on the couch for her to move away.

She is also aware of how it would look to everyone if she does. It would just make them guilty of whatever they're thinking of them.

She crossed her arms over her chest and leaned back, deciding to act casual. Another reason for doing so was to not give Dominic the idea that he can still have his way with her.

There is no way in hell that she would let him back into his life again.

When she nor Dominic reacted to Tao's teasing, he stopped but not after giving Dominic a malicious smirk, as if telling Dominic he knew something.

Dominic squirmed on his seat and cleared his throat.
