Sael opened his eyes to the harsh white light of the weird bug lights. Back on Earth, he had never been one to go to sleep quickly. Nor had he done many naps, it was all or nothing. Here though in this world as time went by his body could almost shut down at will. Letting him fall asleep instantly and even a short nap was impossibly refreshing. Still, he frowned at the odd warm spot on his forehead. He reached up and poked the blob that was Selkie. His actions earned him a high pitched giggle. "Why are you sleeping on my face?"
"You are warm, but you wear armor everywhere else." She rolled off his forehead to plop down onto his shoulder as she sat up. Much of the mental fatigue he was suffering was restored thanks to the nap. Based on the amount of mana he had recovered he had been out for a lot longer than he meant to. Four or five hours must have passed, it was less of a nap and more of a short night's sleep.
