Queen to Knight 1

Both twins rapidly created more chains but each new set was thinner than before.  This was another weakness that rarely came up. Unlike normal earth mages, which their magic was based on, they utilized enchanted metals. Their staffs functioned as a pocket space that held considerable amounts of the prepared metals.  This was the key to reusing the same spells, it was how they could chain together their highly versatile attacks and defenses.  But the touch from the death knight was actually destroying the metal, decaying and rotting it away.  Now even their combined stores were running out. 

"Fire! We need fire!" Against undead, it was perhaps the most basic strategy, but Aarun's calls did little.  A few of the surviving guards had already been dispatched to seek out any remaining faerie fire. Or perhaps a few rounds for the dragon's maw weapons the dwarves hadn't already used up in the last big fight.
