Chapter 11: The reason I am here

"Everybody up! We have special treat today! Today I'm going to spar with the new girl!" Everyone cheered. Everyone got a safe distance away. "OK Raven. Go at your pace and I will match it." "Yes sir." So, I started going like a medium fast pace. "Pretty good pace for a girl like you." "Thanks. I think we better stop talking and more fighting your wide open." I thought I had an opening, but he blocked it. "Damn! I thought I had you." "Haha good one. You know how to look for openings. It would have worked on a normal person. Not with me. I will stop talking now and we can train for now." "Sweet." So, we continued to fight and people were surprised at how long it lasted. I saw an opening and I used it weather he was going to block it or not.

I scratched his face with my sword. Then the fight continued until one of us got tired which ended up me. "Ok I can't go anymore." "Alright let's stop here then. Very good Raven. You're not far from my level. Work on getting more stamina you can go as long as me maybe longer. You are the first one since I came here that was able to even scratch me with a sword." He shook my hand and I shook it back. "Good work. Take a break." "Thanks Master." I plopped my but down and watched everyone train while I rested drinking water.

Training was finally over, and I waited for Nikita by the gate. "Hey Nikita." "Oh Hey Raven. You are fully excepted as my roommate." "Hehe. Oh Tony you idiot." "What did Tony say?" "Oh he told me about your situation with your roommates and said he thinks I would be the best one." "Well he's right. I can finally say I have been conquered. I finally I have a roommate I can get along with." "Hehe thanks."

Just as we were about to leave, I saw Master Zoro running towards us. "Hey Raven. Tomorrow after class I need to discuss something important." "Yes sir." "OK then. See you tomorrow." So Nikita and I walked to our next Class which was sitting at a desk and listening. "Ok our next class is talking about dragons. How we turn what we do and all that which is boring." So we walked to class.

"Hey Mrs. Shepard. This is the new girl." "Ok Class we have a new student." "Yo. My name is Raven. What's up." "OK your desk is next to Nikita's." So we sat down and listened to a lecture, then in that same class we go outside and test out how much we need to get under control.

"Can we have Nikita come up first please." "Yes maam." Nikita turned into a dragon and it made me jump a minute. She had a beautiful color. She had a purple back with black and purple arms and legs. Her wings were black with purple underneath. So, the teacher went up and did a few things to test her emotionally to see how she is.

"OK thank you Nikita. Now I'd like Raven, the new girl to come up please." I went up a little nervous knowing what I did to my friends. I went to her first to tell her. "Um I ended up hurting a couple people I love like family. Can we do it privately?" "If that is what you wish. Once you get better, we will do it in front of everyone ok?" "Thank your Mrs. Shepard." I went back to Nikita and watched the others. Then the lessons were done and I had to talk to Mrs. Shepard.

"Hey Mrs. Shepard. When would be a good time to show you?" "Oh sorry. I have to talk to the principal and see when the guards are going to be free. I'll have someone let you know." "Oh thank you." "Sure now go with Nikita and have some free time."

I walked with my friend back to our room. She saw how out of it I was. We got in our room and she started talking. "Yo. What happened Raven? Yo Raven can you hear me?" I ran to the restroom to puke. My roommate came by to see if I was ok. "You ok Raven?" She held my hair back and patted my back. "Oh no." I said. "I better not be. I need to see the Elder or Tony fast!" "Raven what's wrong hey!" Nikita stopped me to see if I was ok. "I hope so. I need to talk to Tony and the elder to be sure." "Hang on. I know where Tony is right now." She rushed me to where Tony was.

"Sorry to interrupt Tony. Its an emergency." "Ok TA I need you to finish up." "Yes sir." "OK what's wrong?" I spoke. "Tony I think I might be…" "Are you serious?" I nodded. "She might be pregnant." "What? Holy shit. Lets take you to the Elder he knows what to do about that." They all took me to the elder.

"Hey Elder emergency!" The elder came running and said. "Come into my office quickly!" We went into his office and said, "I know what you are here for. Give me a minute. OK I need you to lay down here Raven." So I laid down like he said and he put his hand on my stomach. "Well your not pregnant, but something is wrong. You might have been poisoned. When was the last time you went on a mission?" "I guess last time was when I was with the Raven clan so lets see…4 months ago. Why?" "Yes this poison doesn't start until now. Get her to the infirmary and get her the antidote for all poisons." "Yes sir." Tony picked me up and rushed me to the Infirmary.

"We need the poison antidote fast!" A nurse rushed to the end of the area and back in no time. "It must have been my neck. I thought I dodged it." They lifted my hair up and saw where the mark was. "Ok it will sting." I closed my eyes and flinched a little. "Ok done. You need to rest for at least a day here." "Yes maam." My eyes started getting heavy and I fell asleep.

The next morning Tony came to visit me. "Hey Tony. How is Nikita doing?" "Well she is doing ok for now. She came to me a couple times because she was worried about you." "hehe. I can picture that. I can get out of here by noon if I have no complications." "Well, that's good. Nikita will be happy." "Tony? I started feeling sick when I was in class for controlling dragon situation. I had her do private training. She said she would have someone get back to me." "I will go see the update on that. I think that's a good Idea."

I sighed. "I wish I didn't have to wait so long to get out of here." After awhile I saw my Master Zoro coming over. "Oh crap. I forgot I had to see him today." He came in and saw me. "Hey Raven. I heard from Nikita. How you feeling?" "Well if there is no complications, I will be able to get out of here today around lunchtime." "Oh is that so?" "Yeah sorry about not coming to practice." "Its fine. Your health is most important right now. Mind if I ask you what I was going to ask you after training?" "Sure go ahead." "I ask all my students this. They either tell me now or later. They eventually tell me though. What brings you here? What trouble did you get into to need to control your dragon urge? Like I said you can tell me now or wait. It doesn't have to be now." " I actually was planning on it today. I was expecting that question. I have a feeling that is what Nikita was going to ask me before I felt sick. After I get out, I would like to tell you and Nikita together if you don't mind?" "Yeah sure. We will be there when you get out and we can find a place talk if you want." "Yeah that would be good." "Ok. Sleep now. You can hardly stay awake now." "Yeah. Sorry about that." "Its fine." Then she finally went to sleep.

She woke up about the time she is supposed to get out. "Hmm. What time is it?" "Hey Raven. You ok?" "Huh is that Tony?" I blinked a few times to fix my vision. "Hey Tony. Oh Zoro and Nikita too. Is everything ok?" "You wouldn't' wake up no matter what we did are you feeling ok?" said Zoro. " I feel fine. I guess I'm just a heavy sleeper." A nurse came by to check me out. "How are you feeling Raven?" "I feel fine." So they all went out and had the nurse check me out. "Ok well everything seems to be working fine your neck looks better. You can leave. Just take it easy for a day or two. The maximum of training you should do is only 30 minutes and that is pushing it." I sighed. "OK thank you maam." Zoro and Nikita helped me up. "Ok so its lunchtime where do we go now?" I asked. "Well it looks like rest for you. Tomorrow you would be having your private lessons on dragon training." Said Tony. "Good. Tony you need to hear this too. Although you already figured it out when we met a second time." We went to the Elders to talk.

"Hey elder. We need to use your office to talk about something important." Said Tony. "Actually he needs to hear this too. If he isn't busy." "No I'm not." So he walked in with us and I started to speak. "Zoro asked me while I was in the infirmary what my reason is for being here. I have a feeling that is what Nikita was going to ask. So here it is. I recently found out I am a blood princess. I have 3 half siblings and I grew up with one. My mother was a dragon as well. I came here because when I was in the…when I started in the Blue Pheonix clan, I was getting ready for a ball to celebrate us finding out. I was at the meeting when I had this pain and fell to the ground. When I turned at first I was red. I ended up seriously hurting the leaders of the Blue Phoenix clan. If they didn't block my brother, I would have hurt him. I also have a boyfriend back there. I don't want to hurt him or anyone I love again. That is why I am here. Excuse me. I need some air." Before anyone can say for do anything, I ran out of the elders room and found a beach.

I sat on the beach trying to cool my head. While she was doing that Tony, Zoro, and Nikita watched her to make sure she didn't do anything stupid. I got up and walked on the shore for awhile to think. "I have an idea." Said Tony. "Go on. I'm worried about her too." Said Zoro.

"Hey Raven. Are you ok?" "Yeah, I will be. Sorry for running out like that." "Its fine. Something bad happened. That's understandable. When you are feeling better, Elder has a mission for us too to go on. How about it?" "That would be nice thanks. Tony there is just something about you. Like I knew you or a boy like you when I was younger." "Oh really? I guess I have that look. Haha." "I guess so." "Want to walk back with us? Its me Zoro and Nikita." "Oh crap. Nikita. I bed she will hate me seeing how pathetic I am now." "Actually, if you talk to her about it I'm sure it will make you closer."

We all got back to the Elder and I apologized for running out. Then when I got out, I was swarmed by people accepting me for the first time.
