CH410: Battle For Adjabiya I: Infiltrating The City

Adjabiya.

It is the capital of the Al Wahat District in Northeast Libya. It was located in the eastern end of the Gulf of Sidra with the Mediterranean Sea to its North. It served as an important crossroads between the two largest cities in the country, Tripoli and Benghazi.

Adjabiya was only 150 kilometres from the rebel capital of Benghazi while beginning 850 kilometres from the government centre of Tripoli. As a result, it was heavily involved in the rebellion.

Anti-Government protest spread to the city almost as soon as it rose up in Benghazi. And like in Benghazi, the police and other government tried to use violence to suppress the protest, only for the protestors to quickly takeover the city.
