Chapter 39: The impossible game

Everyone turned quiet. Then their eyes all darted at the egg that was sitting happily on the chair. It was as if the fiery glanced at it didn't matter, all it cared about was itself.

When the egg saw its owner, its attention went to Reigan's head, particularly the hair under the hat.

It was having an internal struggle, thinking which one it should choose.

The head nest was comfortable, warm, cozy, and nice plus had the smell of his partner made it comfortable. On the other hand, the seat was soft and so comfortable.

It thought deeply, maybe just a little. He could stay in the soft chair, then go back to the head nest.

It would just try it out, once it gets tired it could always go back to its original home.

The egg feeling its decision good, lights up twice, being in a good mood which was the exact opposite of those who were viewing it.

"The rule is very simple, all you need to do was to answer all the questions given to you, and you could only have 7 wrong answers.

If one of you were unable to pass this game then you all failed."

Once more their sight turned fiery at the egg, but it was not only the egg they should worry about but also the others.

"You only had 20 questions needed to answer correctly, and it would be according to what color given to you. In 10 seconds the game will begin!"

They tried to spoke but no sound could come out from their voice.

While the timer in front of them showed up and the countdown began.

Roland was in the red chair, the man in the armor was in the orange chair, the ninja man was in the yellow chair, the girl who accused Reigan was in the green chair, Reigan was in the Blue chair, the egg was in Indigo chair, and the demoness was in Violet chair.

The floor color in each chair was also different, it was random same as the color arrangement of the chair. while behind every chair was a vast of darkness, it was unknown what was behind that darkness. All they could feel was danger.

Reigan noticed the ninja man who tried to stand up, and surprisingly he could, not only that, but he could also leave his place.

Reigan did the same and stood up. Unlike the ninja man that moved away from his chair, he checks the chair he was sitting on and notice that behind it there were undistinguishable letters.

No... these letters were very familiar in his eye. These letters were the ones he had painstakingly learned from the fairyland.

Who would had thought he would felt grateful at learning their alphabet.

The decipher word was read as green.

He knotted his brow because of confusion.

The others saw his action and did the same, except for the egg who was enjoying its chair as if it was on a vacation.

But unlike Reigan, the other felt confused because the letters were unfamiliar to them. Only the man in armor was not swayed.

Reigan glanced at the stupid egg who was indulging itself to the softness of the chair, he couldn't but envy it.

They were both brought in this place, but unlike the egg, he needed to think so that he could get over with It, but that egg was just enjoying it!

How enviable!

The elderly voiced said there were 6 of them...

Wait, six of them?

Reigan now felt more confused.

He held his pants from falling and peered down. He notices that his wrist has an inconspicuous red line around it, the egg had a green line on its body.

This game...

Was it possible to be done?

The timer continued to decrease, and when it was 0, all of them popped back on their respective chair and was stuck on it.

Along with the elderly voice speaking, "The game is very simple, there was 20 question that needed to answer according to the rainbow and the body composition.

Since all of you were my little gamers, I will give you a clue.

The body is composed of Body, Spirit, and soul. The body had a shadow and only these two were visible.

The soul was you and the spirit was your strength.

So here the thing.

The game will start with 5 simple questions, then it would turn harder and harder as the game continues.

We will start first according to the Rainbow colors and the first composition of the body."

Everyone's face showed questioning eyes. You could see the puzzlement in it.

"Ah, I almost forgot.

If you were unable to win this game, all of you would never be able to join the Survival game anymore." The elderly voice spoke, but Reigan noticed that when this elder was speaking, there was another voice.

It was like the voice of a clown making fool out of them.

He started to wonder what would happen to them if they were not part of the game? He didn't understand, but he had a feeling that it would be something he never wanted to.

Everyone's face became sullen.

The beastman especially was fidgeting, as if he had something on his butt. And it whiskeys kept on moving.

The other four were staring at the egg.

There were obvious problems with this game.

First of it was that they didn't understand how the arrangement was, and how could they understand the body, soul, spirit, and shadow.

If there was something everyone thinks the same, everyone thought that this game had a connection with the colors on the chair, floor, letters behind them, and the line color on their body.

There was another thing that made this game hard.

If everyone needed to answer, didn't that mean there was no exception?

Then how was the egg supposed to answer?

This game...

It was an impossible game after all...
