When morning came and Esper woke up, Dr. Julian ordered an nearby facility worker to safely escort him to the Major's office. Once arriving he encountered Mr. Leo who was also approaching the office with quick steps. Both their gazes met in silence, silently taking note of one another. One wary of the other and one highly cautious of everything.
Smoothly unlocking his office door both walked in. Leo guided the awakened through his room of work, heading straight for his desk. But what laid ahead was a surprise he knew all to well.
"What are you doing in here?" Leaning up against the front of his desk General Leo gazed down at a tall familiar figure, that was casually occupying his sofa. "I'm busy right now." He quickly glanced towards Esper who silently stood at his side, staring down with curious eyes, at the sudden appearance of another male in the room. Whose features were covered by a book titled 'The Crimson Ocean.'
A low grumble came from the unknown male as a response. Too tired to respond in words. What surprised Esper was that Leo had understood the low grumbling
"If your not here for me." Leo folded his arms over his chest. "Then, why are you here?"
"It's quiet." The males tone was cold his voice rough and hoarse. An after effect of waking up from a long slumber.
"Quiet." Leo inwardly nodded to himself. Deciding to play along. "And what's wrong with your office?"
"My office is...." He lightly parted his lips, in search for the right words. "occupied at the moment."
"I assume this means your free at the moment." Both Generals knew all to well why the office was 'occupied.' The young male had a job to do but instead he was here lounging around as if he had, a lot of free time on his hands. Yet this wasn't anything knew to the both of them thus the reason why Leo wasn't angry in the slightest. "If so you should help with the new recruit while your here then."
"No need." He lazily removed the book that covered his face and sat it on a near by table, while slowly sitting up. "You seem to be doing fine without me." He curled his lips lightly. Now that the Major was back, there was no longer a need for him to be here. He definitely didn't want, to busy himself with work right now either. Being up all night dealing with the destruction from yesterday's incident, filling out reports, visiting the mortal district [Police station] and hospital. It took a toll on him. All that moving around and aura using gave him a small headache this morning. He could just imagine it now his desk was probably still piled up with city issues that had nothing to do with him. The HPO's [Human police officials] we're probably looking for him within the facility right at this very second.
They could wait. General Aera was enough for them right now. He had no energy to meet them nor talk to them at the moment or at most, at all.
He stood up to leave resulting in the light hovering over him to finally reveal his features towards the two. And Esper couldn't help the small gasp that left his mouth in awe causing himself to blush. He had never seen someone so breathtakingly good looking.
This person who left Esper star struck was no other but General Asura. Who was heartbreakingly handsome, running a hand through the messy strands of his hair. The color dark as a bell-flowers petal. He had thick, sword like eyebrows, with long dark eyelashes that surrounded a pair of sharp grey Phoenix eyes. Decorated with tiny flecks of deep blue starlight around the irises, that seemed to hold both the waves of the ocean and the destruction of a tornado. A powerful storm yet deep and still as a lake. One look from him could intimidate anyone.
His skin was smooth tan, tattoos playing along his shoulders down his arms. He stood tall at, at least 190 cm. His strong body was wrapped in a pure black suit attire. He didn't even glance at Esper as he began leaving, each footstep calm yet powerful, the sound of his heals reverberating within the wide spaced room. His movements gave off a natural effortless and lazy appeal but his whole demeanor roared cold and ruthless.
Asura's pair of eyes seemed to look familiar to Esper. He had a small inkling that he's seen those same exact pair of eyes before, yet he couldn't pin point where. Leaving his gaze to linger even after the General left.
Seeing it end this way Leo no longer questioned the other and moved on. Sitting at his desk then gesturing for Esper to take a seat on the couch. "Sit." He ordered.
Esper nodded taking a seat across from the Major General. Now facing one another his expression slightly stiffened. He knew a long row of questions about who he was would soon be thrown at him. He took this chance to brace himself.
At this very minute within city J General Aera had found herself at an unexpected crime scene within public park. The object entering her sight was horrifying. It was a dead body half melted from the inside out by acid. Blood and a chemical foam continuously leaked out dripping onto the ground, burning the soil. It's organs hung off the molded bones from the huge hole within. The stench of death and rot polluted the park area like a lethal plague. Aera had to infuse her aura to block out the smell.
What in the hell was this. It was unheard of.
There was crime throughout the city for sure, but not like this. Never anything like this.
What made it worse, was that this body. Was one from the current missing persons reports.
It wasn't a question nor a doubt. She had to notify the others including Major General Leo immediately. There was nothing she could do right now as it was in the hands of the M.D [Mortal District.] As she sent the message out, at the very moment all 12 generals including the Major General was notified.
At this moment Asura's peaceful expression crumbled into a cold frown. He looked at his risk watch seeing it continuously flicker blue, filling the first floor lobby with a loud beeping sound. It was his intercom notifying him of an incoming voice massage. He took his finger and lazily swiped over. Projecting an hologram of the caller ID, belonging to General Aera. He swiftly opened the voicemail and listened attentively. Hearing the short message he couldn't help but sigh in dissatisfaction as the voicemail came to an end.
"Duty calls I see." Dr. Julian observed as he massaged his temples. "It's good to see I'm not the only one busy around here."
"Right." He mumbled pausing his steps. Asura was just heading home, when he had met Julian on his way out the facility causing him to stop and have small talk that didn't last long and just before he stepped foot outside the main door his watch had rang out.
"What happened?"
"It's Aera." His gaze landed back on his watch again before glancing up at Julian. "A dead body was found."
"That shouldn't be different from the usual homicides."
"It is, when it's murder and the victims body is apart of the file of missing human, reports. Found hanging high up on a pole in a public park."
It didn't take Julian a long time to see where this is was going. "Then that does make a difference." Who ever it was wanted everyone to see it. He paused taping the bottom of his chin coming to a quick small conclusion. "Someone is trying to send a message."
Asura slightly tilted his head back and closed his eyes. "I suppose they are."
"Then shouldn't you go."
He took a deep breath in then exhaled before opening his eyes again. His gaze cold and sharp. "It's in the hands of the police right now."
The police also known as the H.P.O's had their own separate bureau from the T.T.A. The Tower Association dealt with things related to humans but mostly Werebeast and Elite while the Human Police Officials handled everything mundane related. So until he heard otherwise from above, it was in their hands until further notice of the incident being related to the T.T.A bureau.
"Does that mean your still going home."
"No." He turned around. "Unfortunately I'll be staying. I just thought of something." Not wanting to waste any time Asura walked off and Dr. Julian watched him leave before making his move towards his destination.
This week was going to be a busy one. And they both knew it.
Something seemed to be coming and whatever it was they all had to be prepared for it.
