Yixing walked into the dorm room and wasn't surprised how big it was. Of course, his father had arranged everything. So that he could carry out his plan flawlessly.

It was already late in the afternoon, when Yixing moved it, so he was finished unpacking when it was already dark. And his roommate was nowhere to be seen.

He got a bit worried later in the evening, because of the curfew, but a few minutes before it, his roommate flung the door open and stumbled into his bed.

He wasn't as drunk as the day they had seen each other before, but he was still so drunk he missed his bed and ended up with a loud thud on the floor.

"Oh my god, I have no idea why you drink so much... But I'm even more surprised that they let you in, in this state." Yixing shook his head and helped Jin Chao onto his bed.

"I killed him, I killed again," Jin Chao mumbled when Yixing put a blanket over him. It made him stop for a moment. Did he drink because of remorse? Did he really kill someone?

Yixing walked back to his back and took his phone. This was exactly what his father wanted, something nasty… He wrote a message to his father and then laid down on his bed.

He was looking at the ceiling above, thoughts circling in his head. Did he really have to be a snake like his father? With no friends, because everyone was used by him? He hated his life like this.

"Who are friends?" he said out loud because he knew his roommate was sound asleep. But to his surprise, he mumbled something.

"What?" he asked, trying if he really listened.

"Someone you can entrust your life to," Jin Chao shifted to the side and said nothing more. It was probably just drunk talking, or sleep mumbling.

But it hit Yixing.

He had no one like that. All he had was the dying wish of his mother, and a father that hated him so much, he used him only for his own benefits.

Yixing looked at the sleeping Jin Chao, who was blissful to whatever was being plotted behind his back. And got himself so hammered again, that he couldn't even lay down the bed.

"I'm Li Yixing, but who am I?" he asked himself once again. His entire life centered on what his father wanted. Go study business, befriend these guys, seduce those women.

Yixing sat up and pulled knees up and laid his head on them, watching the phone that rested on the edge of the bed where he threw it.

He was already old enough; he had fulfilled his mother's dream of being a diligent son. Why couldn't he just live his own life rather than live for someone else?

Yixing touched the necklace he had on and felt the carving on the pendant. Atypical heart. Yixing xin. Yixing's heart.

It was a pendant that his mother gave him a few hours before she died, together with her wish. Her first wish was to help his father and be a diligent son. The second wish was to guard Yixing's heart so no one could even hurt it.

A little she knew that her first wish hurt him the most.

A half-year later, after she died, his father was already seen with a famous singer entering a hotel. But this relationship didn't last long. Almost none of them did.

The women only used his father for money and fame, and he used them for more connections. The friends that used to help him, expecting nothing back, got soon fed up by the lies and rudeness towards him, and they stopped talking to him.

In the midst of this, Yixing was left alone.

He smirked and took the phone. Yixing was already independent. The only reason he was staying with his father was that without it, he wouldn't get anything from his mother's will. He had to stay with his father until his twentieth birthday. Only just after that, he would get all the money his mother hid away for him.

"Will you be pissed if you knew why I'm here?" Yixing asked the unconscious person in the next bed. And chuckled when he heard undistinguished mumbling back.

Another plan formed in Yixing's mind, while he logged into the app he had on his second space, guarded by a sixteen symbols long password. He saw all his assets and smirked even more.

He put the phone away and laid down. Then he looked to the side at Jin Chao, who was peacefully sleeping, undisturbed by anything.

Peacefully, until his face frowned, he trashed himself, and then let out a painful scream, as if someone was killing him. Yixing was so startled by it, he froze. He didn't move until a second scream, even worse than the first one, echoed through the room.

"Mommy!" Chao yelled out and sobbed. Yixing could only guess what happened, but he got up from his bed, after turning on the lights, and walked to Jin Chao's bed.

"Wake up, wake up!" he screamed as he shook with crying Chao. For an outsider it would look like a fight between two men, because Chao was thrashing around, screaming.

Yixing had enough and slapped Chao on the face. As soon as he did it, Chao calmed down. His eyes opened abruptly, and he stared into a pair of dark brown eyes.

"Who are you? And what are you doing with me?" Chao asked and Yixing rolled his eyes. It would take a while to explain everything. Then he smirked with an awesome idea.

"I'm someone sent to befriend you, so my father can use our connection, and use your father as a clout," he said truthfully, and saw the utter shock displayed on Jin Chao's face.
