Speechless encounter

Huobai almost shit himself. He rang the doorbell and heard a loud crash after like twenty seconds. When he looked around from where it came, the door slammed open and scared the hell out of him.

"Zhang Huobai?" the guy asked and Huobai was so startled he only nodded. He made a side step and Huobai only knew he had to get in, so he made those steps first.

He entered and turned around to look at the guy, but he felt only a faint breeze on his face from the wave when the guy ran past him.

Huobai was there, staring at the door where the guy disappeared, with his mouth open and a box in his hands.

'Was he crazy?' Huobai thought to himself. He would usually be concerned if he entered the right house, but he knew his name and… Huobai looked around the apartment.

They had an awesome gaming setup on the tables in front of the big windows. The entire Hong Kong skyline could be seen from there, and Huobai was suddenly sure he was in the right apartment.

"Sorry, I went to tell Chao and Yitian you are here," sounded behind him and it made him jump again. This really wasn't good for his heart.

"You are?" Huobai turned around and asked. The guy smiled brightly and reached out with his hand. Huobai was looking down at it, and then he raised his eyes back to the stranger's face.

"Hey, I'm your guardian. Li Yixing," he said with the brightest smile Huobai ever saw. It made him speechless for a moment. To be exact, it made his heart skip a beat.

Huobai was handsome, but he took after his mother. His face was peculiar, but this person was everyone's imagination when someone said cute beauty.

He was almost as tall as Huobai. He had bigger shoulders, narrowing down to a slim waist. But his face was the thing that was cute about him.

His hair was dark brown together with his narrow eyes, his skin was caramel-colored. Thin lips just finished off the rascal-young-boy appearance of his.

"I'm sorry if I was too weird before." The smile disappeared from his face, and his hand fell back down to the side of his body. It made Huobai shake his head and wake up. He wasn't here for this guy, but for Yitian. But still, they would be teammates, so it was better to not start badly.

"No, I'm sorry. I was just a bit taken aback," Huobai said and reached out with his hand again. The bright smile appeared again on Yixing's face, and Huobai's hand was almost immediately accepted.

"No problem. I will take you to your room and around the apartment. When will your things be moved in here? Or are the movers already here?" Yixing was a bit loud to Huobai's preferences. He was used to his calm, dark, and quiet room.

But here. The curtains were drawn away to let the fall sunshine in. Yixing was a bit too friendly and loud. And the others that were supposed to be here to welcome him were nowhere to be seen.

Then the door on the other side of the living room opened, and a tall, handsome guy appeared. He was tall and looked really cool. Black hair styled back, black eyes, full lips. He looked incredibly conceited and Huobai had a bit of a feeling that he should let his fist meet that guy's face. It was definitely Chao, Doom.

Soon after him, a smaller guy with full lips, amber eyes, and light brown hair came in. He was slightly flushed and looking god damn adorable. That must have been Yitian.

Huobai found himself with a slight smile as soon as he saw Yitian. He already saw him once in a picture he sent him so he would recognize him, but Yitian looked even better in person, cuter.

It scared him. It scared him that he was attracted to a boy. He should be normal, but a few months ago he found himself smiling at a picture of a boy. Imagining the sort of thing that he only imagined with women, usually. And that scared him.

He shouldn't be like that. He should be normal. But in the end, he went on the internet, to research something about how to deal with his sexuality, and he loved the quotes he saw there.

'Why should gender matter if you love?' That was the most accurate question that somehow calmed him down. So as soon as he was sure about being in love. Huobai was okay with people, no matter their gender.

"Oh, this is Yitian. Be careful, they are super close together with Chao. Knock before entering their room," Yixing said, while leaning on Huobai. But he was too close to him, too close for it to be comfortable, so he made a step to the side, creating a bigger space between them.

"We are just normal friends…" Yitian paused for a bit and Huobai knew something was off when he said that. But he was still happy that the person he was attracted to was single.

"We are the same as in the game and in voice chats, so don't take Yixing's words seriously. He loves to tease everyone." Yitian smiled at Huobai, who nodded. If they were the same, it should have been easy to get along with them.

It was a bit awkward at first, but soon they started talking like they normally did. Huobai was looking around when he remembered those three tables and frowned.

"Wow, that's epic guys, you have the newest equipment…" he paused, trying to sound cheerful, but for him, it sounded a bit forced.

"So cool. I brought my computer too, so where should I put it?" The three of them stopped at this question and rubbed their foreheads, almost as one.

"How could you forget about that!" Yixing turned to Chao, looking a bit pissed. But he was more pissed at himself that he forgot about that.

"Me? That's not my fault… It's everyone's fault." Chao raised both his hands and made a step back. It made Huobai speechless. That he wasn't ready to take responsibility for what he forgot.

"Real captain, huh, putting blame on everyone…" Yitian shook his head and went to his room. He coughed, closed the doors, and went to his 'new' room. Yixing and Chao had to laugh, but Huobai frowned, not knowing what was so funny about it.

Thankfully, at that moment, the doorbell sounded once more and the movers announced they were there. This apartment was too wild and weird for him.

But somehow. He loved it. It brought light to his dark mind.
