New Arrival

Aliana's POV

It's been over a week now since Kassandra had unlocked her powers and I have been training her how to use them ever since.

I had begun to slowly adjust the gravity in the compound and it didn't seem as if it bothered her that much after a day of training.

Right now we were busy sparing in hand-to-hand combat and she was doing really well at keeping up with me.

She aimed a punch at my head and I ducked to avoid it, I came up with an uppercut and she threw herself into a backflip bringing up her foot and almost catching me in the face, I fell back then rushed her before she stands but she disappeared.

I felt a punch coming at me from behind and threw myself forward. I sprung up and turned ready to attack but she had disappeared again, I raised my hand and block a hit coming from my side. Turned to her and continued fighting with her disappearing and appearing throughout the fight.

We had discovered that she had the ability of teleportation after she had accidentally teleported herself outside the compound one morning and the gravity had slammed her into the ground. I had to drag her out of the crater and back inside. Ever since I've been teaching her how to use it properly. I also possess the power of teleportation but I've rarely used it because it is extremely dangerous.

If you have no idea where it is that you are teleporting yourself you can easily phase yourself into walls or in the ground and your body would form around whatever is in the way. It's extremely painful and deadly. But Kassandra has taken to it like a fish in water, but I've warned her to only use it in the training room where she knows where she'll end up.

Another blow comes at me and I counter it with my own.

"You've gotten much stronger love," I grunt as she attacks again

These aren't your normal hits, these are powerful and heavy hits with enough force to shatter walls just from the breeze kick up behind it.

"As hard as I've been working, I'm glad I'm making any kind of progress." She breaths out and falters a little, but I see it and move in.

I dive for her middle and wrap my arms around her waist and wrestle her to the ground. She tries to fight me off but I manage to roll on top of her and pin her arms above her head.

"Do you give?" I ask down at her. She continues to struggle under me but I just hold her tighter.

Finally, she sighs and sags under me, then looks up at me with a little pout on her lips. I look down at her lips and unconsciously lean in.

But before I kiss her a throat-clearing pulls us apart.

I pull back from her and look over to the other side of the room and see Fen sitting there with a sad face.

Ever since we've been back he's been really distant lately, I know that seeing me with Kassandra has made him feel even more lonely and I've been trying to censor myself when he's around. But it's getting harder to do when all I want to really do is mark her as mine. I have no idea what to do about Fen or how to help him.

"What's wrong?" Kassandra asks when she sees that I've frozen.

As soon as she turns her head to look in the direction that I'm looking, Fen gets up and trots out the door.

"Is he alright?" She asks as I get off of her and help her up.

"I'm not sure," I answer her honestly.

I wish there was some way to help my friend.

I turn to Kassandra and took her hand and led her out of the room.

"That's enough for today and tomorrow we get to rest the entire day," I say and lead her up the stairs.

"Why is tomorrow a rest day?" She asks me looking confused.

"No reason, just thought that you'd like a day off. If you don't want one we can train tomorrow." I say nonchalantly.

"No, no. A day off sounds wonderful." She rushes out. She releases my hand and goes into the bathroom to clean up.

I'm hoping that I can pull off my surprise for tomorrow.

*****The next evening*******

"Are you sure you're okay?" I ask Fen as I try to get everything set up.

"I'm good Ali, you don't have to worry about me just take care of your mate." He says not looking at me.

"I do worry about you though," I say staring at him hard. When Fen had discovered what I was doing for Kassandra he seemed to slip into an even further depression. If we weren't bonded together I don't think that I would have known, he knows that he can't hide from me but he still refuses to talk to me.

"There's nothing to talk about Ali, it's just something that I have to deal with on my own." He says getting up to leave the room.

"You're wrong. You have me and Kassandra here to help you." I say to the retreating figure.

"Not tonight though, spend some time with your girl tonight." He says and is gone.

I had prepared a very romantic dinner for me and Kassandra, she had been trying to figure out what I was up to all day. So when she took an afternoon nap earlier I had been rushing to get things ready.

I cooked Chicken alfredo with a salad, set up a few candles around the room, and had some soft music playing. I was dressed in a button-up black silk shirt and black slacks with ankle boots. My hair was piled on top of my head with a few tendrils escaping. I just hoped everything went well.9

The shower cut off from upstairs and I knew that Kassandra was finished with her shower.

"Kassandra," I spoke into her mind.

"Yes." She sent back.

"Can you wear that black dress you have tonight?" I asked her.

"Black dress? Why?" She asked suspiciously.

"Can you please do this for me, I'll explain everything later," I said hoping she wouldn't ask any more questions.

"Fine, but you're going to explain why you've been acting so strange all day." She finished.

"I promise." I left her to get dressed.

I finished getting everything ready and sat down to wait on her to come downstairs.

Twenty minutes later I heard her making her down the steps. I walked out of the kitchen to intercept her and her beauty made me falter.1

The dress was a simple long sleeve, thigh-length dress, it stuck to all her curves and looked like it was made for her. Her red hair is cascading down her back in beautiful curls and the little makeup she has on make her green eyes pop. She has on a pair of black strappy heels. She's breathtaking.

She blushes under my gaze and begins to fiddle with her hands.

I walk over to her and hold out a hand for her which she takes immediately and I help her down the final steps.

I bring her hand to my lips and place a kiss on the inside of her wrist.

"You're beautiful," I tell her and pull her into the dining room.

She gasps and squeezes my hand tighter when she sees what the room has been transformed into.

indigo flower petals cover the floor with a single round table in the center of the room with candles spread around the room, low lights, and light music.

"You did all this?" She asks as I lead her through the river of petals and pull out her seat for her to sit.

"Just a little something that I wanted to do for you," I say pushing in her chair then I lean down and place a kiss on the side of her neck.

Moving from behind her chair I remove the food cover from over her plate and also mine then take a seat opposite her.

"Wow, this looks amazing." She says as I pour us some wine.

I shrug and watch her dig into the food. On the first bite, she moans loudly and I have to grip the table to keep from diving at her.

When she realizes what she did she blushes and covers her mouth with her hand.

"Sorry." She mumbles.

"Don't be sorry for enjoying your food. I love watching your reactions." I tell her and begin to eat.

All through dinner I watched her and she continued to blush, we didn't speak about anything we just enjoyed each other's company.

When we were done and the dishes were in the kitchen we decided to call it a night because we had more training in the morning. In our room, we started changing our clothes until I saw her having trouble with the zipper on her dress.

I walked up behind her and placed my hands on her hips, she immediately stilled.

I placed my hand on the zipper and pulled it down past the problem. When it was all the way down the sleeves of the dress slipped off her shoulders baring them to the night air.

She had frozen in front of me so I placed my hands back on her waist and pulled her closer, leaning forward I placed light kisses on her neck and she shivered. I helped pull the rest of the dress off her and it pooled at her feet. Turning her around I tried to figure out what she was feeling. Her eyes were slightly glazed over and her breathing had increased.

I placed one hand on the back of her head and the other on her waist pulling her back to me and her arms wrapped around my neck. I leaned forward and devoured her lips and she matched me kiss for kiss. I bit her bottom lip and she moaned and I pushed my tongue into her mouth and our tongues battled for dominance.

Her hands were fumbling with the buttons on my shirt when she finally got frustrated and just ripped it off me. I wrapped both my around my waist and picked her up, her legs automatically wrapped around me and I walked us over to the bed.

I placed her gently on the bed then crawled up her body to kiss her lips again. We began to roll, sometimes I was on top or sometimes she was over me. The remaining clothes were lost, thrown carelessly about the room. Nothing else mattered except her and me.

"Are you sure?" I asked breathlessly pulling back from her.

She only nodded and bit her bottom lip.

I leaned in to kiss those lips but before I could make contact I froze. Kassandra also froze under me, probably because she felt the same thing.

"Do you feel that?" She asked me wide-eyed.

I nodded and jumped out of the bed and quickly threw something on, Kassandra got up and followed my lead.

"Ali, do you feel that?" Fen asked sounding worried.

"Yeah. We're on our way down." I said rushing out the room with Kassandra behind me.

Fen was by the front door waiting when we got downstairs.

"Do you have any idea what it is?" Fen asked climbing on my shoulder.

"I might, this feels similar to what happened last time," I say and grab Kassandra's hand and teleported us to where the strange energy was coming from.

"What happened last time?" Kassandra asked as we appeared at the site.

The ground was shaking and in the center was pulsing white energy leaking out. I moved closer and handed Fen to Kassandra then motioned for them to stay back.

"Wait, what are you doing Aliana?" Kassandra asked from behind me.

"It's okay, trust me," I tell them and reach into the energy. If I'm right then it will be the same as last time.

I feel around until my hand brushes something soft and I pull.

As soon as it's out, the light disappears and the ground stops shaking. I look down at the white bundle in my hands and give a small smile.

"Aliana?"

"Ali?" Kassandra and Fen call.

I turn around and they gasp and Fen races towards me.

"Is that?" He whispers.

I nod my head and hold it out to Kassandra.

I'll try to update the book as soon as possible.
