Healing

Aliana's POV

It was getting easier to move, I was finally getting some of my strength back but it still wasn't fast enough.

I needed to be able to teleport back to Illiria, back to Kassandra but at the rate, I was healing it wasn't going to be any time soon.

The people here all kept a good distance away from me but I could tell a couple of them wanted nothing more than to experiment on me and figure out how I was made up. I had read one of the doctor's minds when he had come by earlier and was angry when I learned that they had already started running all types of tests on me.

Their tests were incomplete since I had woken up and punched myself out of the tank but I still didn't want them to have anything on me and I would need to deal with that as soon as I could.

The door to the room I was in opened and a man in a uniform stepped in and the door slid closed behind him. When I looked up at him I saw that it was the General who had tried to arrest us when we were on their ship and he was currently glaring down at me.

"How the mighty has fallen." He mocked and I gave him a blank stare, looking in his eyes and he looked away first before he looked back at me glaring harder.

"What are your intentions here?" He gritted out and I just continued staring at him as his fists clenched and unclenched.

"Well?!" He demanded and I wanted to slap him for using that tone of voice with me.

I looked away from him, dismissing him as I looked down at my hand that had been completely taken over by the strange metal and continued flexing it. I hadn't had any trouble with it so far and when I had touched it with my 'normal' hand I found that my hand still felt like skin.

That was another thing I was happy about. I didn't want to lose the use of my hand, I would have need of it soon. Afterward, I would deal with it or simply remove it if it became a serious issue.

Another thing that had me worried was that I still wasn't able to contact anyone. My connection with Kassandra, Fen, and Scar seemed to be gone or at least muted and I had a feeling that this was the time that I needed to get back to her.

Krii had been growling lowly in my head ever since we had woken up but she knew as well as I that we need to regain our strength before we tried to move.

"I am speaking to you!" The general shouted bringing me out of my thoughts. I had really forgotten that he was even there.

I looked at him now as he glared down at me.

"And I have decided that you are not important, therefore you do not warrant my attention," I told him and looked away but not before I saw his face darken in anger. He wanted to hit me, I could tell, especially the way he kept clenching his fists.

Looking him directly in his eyes I dared him to try it. He ground his teeth together before looking away from me and I went back to ignoring him. When I heard the door to my room close I paid it no mind because I was focusing on my body trying my hardest to try and speed up the healing process.

It was slow and painful but I could feel Krii was also pushing our energy towards healing the worst of our internal problems. It was slow and hurt like hell but it was better than nothing, plus I knew that my new arm had something to do with why I was healing so slowly.

Staring out the only window in the room I took in the civilization in front of me, at first glance they appeared to be farther ahead of the humans but further behind the Illiarians. There were no visible plants that I could see, probably just my location but the sky was a light blue color and I could see people walking around below me.

It looked....peaceful.

I felt Krii fully wake up inside of me just when I felt a shiver go down my back.

"Teleport now! Now Aliana! Now!" I did.

Right to IIllirian space. Near Kassandra, I felt myself smile when I saw her then Krii and I roared as we watched as our mate was stabbed.

By me.
