CHAPTER 3

[Azareth's Line]

"Will you help me then?" Azareth's gentle face makes Su wen sighs. She never thought that he'll visit her dream.

"Why is it me?" This is the only question that Su wen wants to know. "It's not me who chose you. The stars did. It was a coincidence that a star passed by as you ended your wish."

"Did you do something?" Azareth just smiles to her question.

"And you wished for my creation to be happy. So I hope you'll help her until the end, am I right?" Su wen now knows that Azareth cares for Eve, but why?

"If you wanted Eve to be happy, why not help her yourself? You're her creator." Azareth smiles to Su wen's question.

"I created Eve to spread love and faith. But she was cursed to be emotionless. If she can feel happiness in the first place, the world will never have to suffer. She's a rolemodel to every human. However, I'm not in the rights to help her."

"In order for someone to grow, they need to find theirselves. That's why, take care of my creation, Miss Su wen. I'll be leaving her in your hands." Su wen woke up as someone open-up the curtain.

"Too bright." Eve looks at her as Luna slowly sat down. "Should I give you more minutes Milady?" Su wen, who's used at waking up alone, is not used when someone is serving her.

"The Duchess and the Duke wants you to eat with them. Shall I help you get dress Miss Luna?" Su wen blushed for a bit as she heard those word. "NO! I can change by myself."

"But you liked me dressing you–"

"Ahh! Stop! Get out!"

"Then I'll be waiting for the–" Luna closes the door quickly before Eve can even finish her sentence.

"Lady." Eve sighs as she waited outside patiently. Indeed, Eve felt that the lady has changed. But she doesn't even know how and when did it happened.

'Lady Luna hasn't been hurt at all so how come that she lost all her memories?' Is what Eve's thinking right now.

"Done!" Luna gave her an appreciate-my-dress look as her eyes seems to debate with Eve's face.

'Reading comics really helped me to get dressed.' Luna can't help, but to be proud of herself. After all, she's a modern woman who's not used at wearing princess dresses.

"Lady Luna is the prettiest person in my eyes." Although Luna wanted to hear those words coming from Eve's mouth,

'How can she say that with a straight face?! Atleast smile!' Luna sighs as she looks at Eve.

"It feels like I'm talking to an obedient robot." Eve, who looks confused at Luna's weird words didn't bother to asked what does 'OBEDIENT ROBOT' means.

As they enter the dining hall, Luna greeted her parents with a smiling face. And once again, Eve looks at her with such curiosity.

Eve pinched her cheeks slightly as she tries to imitate the lady, but then again, it just won't work for her.

"Lady Luna's smile is too expensive to look at." Eve whispers as she excused herself. Although Luna wanted to eat with Eve, the thought of them being alone during the night excites her more.

Eve walks at the garden as soon as she escorted the lady. It's been a while since she can rest at ease. She used to have nightmares about her past.

Where people are craving for her attention that ended up on a selfish crime. "Are you resting?"

"You seems to visit me nowadays, Azareth. I see that you're having fun." It's been 3 days since Su wen enters this world. And it's been 3 days that Azareth will come to visit his creation.

"I see what you're trying to do back at the hall. Do you want to smile? It's easy. Repeat after me just curve your lips and shows your teeth, like this." Eve looks pissed as her creator smiles.

"Lady Luna smiles brighter than you." Azareth seems to be offended and point out his fingers towards Eve. "You should be on my side!" Even if it's a joke Eve can't help, but to clench her fist as she looks down.

"How can I choose your side if you cursed your own creation? You know that I'm tired Azareth. I was raped by men and you're calling yourself a God..."

"Where are you when I called your name? Did you even respond when I needed you? You were so desperate to create another human like me, but you know that I'm a masterpiece."

"The love that you say... It brings chaos to people, Azareth. They can do terrible things and steal things that aren't theirs so they could give it to the one they cared about."

"You turned a blind eye for those people and you even wants them to love you, but where are you when we needed you the most?"

"Do you think that your love can fix the trauma it gave for the people who's been harassed? Let's say, it does heal. But it's only TEMPORARY."

"The scars will always tells us how dirty we are. Don't visit me often again. I know that you're my creator, but seeing you, makes me even more emotionless."

Azareth, who can't speak a word felt too many spikes in his heart. What Eve just said are all correct.

But Azareth just wanted to create a perfect world, he didn't know that it'll be the opposite. Azareth laughs sarcastically as he disappeared.

To think that his first creation hated him, shows that the love of human is always individual. "What did I just do?" Even Azareth is questioning himself.

Maybe it's a feeling of self-disappointment. But he can't blame her. After all, it's true that he just watched her being played by his own creations. And he knows that he can't just go down and interrupt the time or it might reset again.

"All I ever want for my own world is to be peaceful. Isn't it too much to ask?" The moment Azareth feels pain, the moment he realized something.

That even him, don't even know what's the meaning of real love.

As soon as Azareth left her sight, Eve quickly lay on the grass as she closed her eyes. She raised her right hand as if she's trying to reach for the sky.

"I really like Eve's hand. They're too long and pretty." Luna, who adores Eve's hand held it for a while as she placed it to her cheeks. "Eve's hand is cold."

"And the Lady's face is warm." Luna smiles as she helps her butler to sit down. Eve, on the other side fixed Luna's hair and tucks it at the back of her ear.

"I wonder why Lady Luna is roaming around by herself, don't you have a maid to assist you?"

"I like Eve to assist me. If it isn't Eve, then I won't go anywhere." Eve knows that the lady needs attention.

"Are you planning to go somewhere then?" Luna knows that is the month where Eve will be called-out in the palace soon. After all, Eve will be the one to teach the knight on how to raise a sword properly.

"Palace." Luna whispers in a soft tone.

"Pardon?"

"Can you take me to the palace tomorrow?" This is the only chance to save the Empire from falling apart.

"Aren't you afraid? You said that you hate the Imperial Palace because of its structure and design. You also hate the Prince for being a tall person."

"You said that he's a scary mythical creature."

'I never read such things!' But instead of thinking for excuses, Su wen just used Luna's looks and pitiful eyes to Eve's asking face.

"I was just scared, but Eve will protect me right?"

'C'mon! Puppy eyes are the best! Look at me!' Is what Luna's eyes saying right now.

Eve just sighs as a sign of defeat.

'Told ya! It works!'

"If the lady wanted to visit the palace then you need to create a letter first and send it to his majesty. It's disrespectful to go without the letter of notice." Eve said as Luna's arm is clinging to hers.

"Does that even matter? But you can go  inside and out of the palace. You have that token right?" Eve stops as she looks at her lady.

"I do not know where does the lady gets this information, but it was a token given to me by his highness. It was only given to me alone so it'll be hard to bring the lady along."

"But if the lady wishes for another token, then I might as well request it to the Imperial palace." Eve steps forward as she gets some strand of Luna's hair.

"Do you want me to do it, Lady Luna? I can request it to his highness. After all, Lady Luna is one of my master." Eve added as she kissed the strand of her master's hair. Luna, who's shocked by Eve's action steps back as her face turns red.

'WHY DOES IT SOUNDS SO FLIRTY TO ME?!' Luna covers her face as she feels the heat coming from her face.

"Is Lady Luna sick?"

"Want me to get some medicines?"

'Eve's charisma is dangerous than I thought...' Luna said to herself as she slightly fakes her cough.

"It was nothing. Let's head back?" Even if it's not convincing, Eve let it slide in this time.

Clinging in Eve's arm, Luna seems to be happy just to see the first creation of Azareth right beside her. She feels like her eyes are blessed.

It feels like a dream whenever she thinks of it. "Miss Eve, when are you planning to marry?" It came all of a sudden. Eve flinched as soon as she heard that question.

Eve can't read if it's a serious or an all of a sudden curiosity so she pinched Luna's right cheek slightly as she answers her question.

"I hate men, Milady. I despised them." All of a sudden, Luna suddenly remembers that chapter, where people ended up raping the first creation.

Luna bit her lower lip and started to think if she offended her. "The Lady shouldn't worry, my past is not that bad."

Of course! Luna knows how bad is it. She knows that her butler is lying about her past. Because Eve was used to be abused in the past.

"If Eve have a problem then Eve should talk to Luna, alright?" As if Luna can feel the burden that Eve is carrying around for hundred of years.

"It is not worth of your tears, Lady Luna."

'Why do I think that the lady looks like a lost puppy?' Eve sighs as she comforts the lady. "Why are you crying all of a sudden?" She asked as she pats her back slightly.

"It must've been painful isn't it?" Eve didn't answer, but to assure that she's fine, Eve looks at the lady as she caress Luna's cheek.

"I'm really greatful that the Lady cares for me. But I can't allow you to cry in my matters, It's already done so please treasure your tears." She's the one who experienced pain, but it looks like, Luna knows how painful is it.

'Just how much the lady knows about me?' Eve sighs as she looks at the other side.

She didn't even have the chance to tell it to everyone, but looks like Luna knows it very well.

Luna, who remembers that chapter stopped crying as Eve wipes her tears. "A smile will fits the lady more." Eve, who can't feel emotions is now trying to cheer a person up.

Although she doesn't know what to do, her instinct is telling her to calm the pitiful lady that is standing right in front of her.

"Then I will smile for Eve," In just a second, the hallway seems to be colorful in Eve's point of view as she sees her lady smile.

It was like a medicine that can cure an incurable disease in just a second. After all, she never saw Luna smiles this brightly before.

'As I thought so, crying doesn't suits the lady. So in order to prevent her smile, I should never talked about my past or she'll ended-up crying about it again.'

"Shall we head to your room?" Luna nods as Eve fixes her hair.
