CHAPTER 6

Eve fixes the lady's hair as soon as Luna woke up. Eve, who didn't get enough sleep open her mouth as she slightly shakes her head.

"Are you ok?" Luna asked as she looks at her in the mirror. "I just didn't manage to get enough sleep. Overall, the lady shouldn't worry. I'm in good health." Eve reassures as she finished arranging Luna's hair.

"Don't you want to rest?" Eve looks down slightly, but decided to look back at her lady as she lays her right hand. "Lady Luna should eat along with the Duke and Duchess." Luna takes her hand as they walk.

"Is there something wrong Lady Luna?" Eve asked as she saw Luna looking at her face.

"I didn't mean to stare at Eve. But you're just too pretty to be a butler."

"A princess title suits you more for me." Luna said while she smiles. "My skills will be wasted if I'm gonna be a princess, Lady Luna." It is indeed a waste. After all, Princesses should do what women are supposed to do. Including the knitting and taking care of their husbands.

Which sounds different in Eve's ears.

"Well, that's true, but didn't you wish to be one?" Eve stops as soon as they reached the door.

"I wished back then to live normally. I do not wish to be someone that has a title or honor. I am just here because of something."

As they went inside of the dining hall, Eve excused herself and left. Luna, who can't speak a word can't help, but to think.

'She means to find the answer right?' Luna said to herself as they started to eat. "You seemed to forget about us whenever you're with Lady Eve." Duchess Serena said as she chuckles slightly.

"We're really happy that you're starting to interact with everyone in this manor. Back then, you used to cry whenever you're having a bad dream." Duke Artem said as he slices the meat.

"You're growing-up." Luna smiles as soon as she heard those words coming from the Duchess. "But Eve will go to the palace soon as per His Majesty's request. Should we hire a temporary guard for you?" Luna shakes her head as she looks at her mother.

"You don't have to mother. I can visit the palace as I wish according to his majesty." Duke Artem nods as he drinks. "That's right. You can be close to the PRINCESS as well as to the 1st Prince." Luna flinched all of a sudden when she heard that word.

"Princess Lilliana might be older to you by 3 years, but I guess you can get along with her." The Duchess said as she seems to be excited.

"But first of all, we are informed about you, talking about the upcoming war. How did you possibly know about that?" Luna, who finished her breakfast looks at her father.

She points out her head as she smiles at them. "I am a genius kid, father." She said with a confident tone. Although the Duchess and the Duke seem to worry about Luna being involved in the matter, THEY TRUST HER.

It's enough for them to let her as long as she won't get hurt. After all, the Empire have their family's back. Whatever happens, they trust their daughter's ability.

"You're too young to wake-up in this side, Luna. But we understand. As long as you know your limitations." The Duke said as he smiles. Luna, who felt her father's sincerity, sighs.

Maybe, she's not used to it. After all, back in her world, people would dictate her what to do, what to act, and everything. In this time, she knows that they're supportive towards her.

"Thank you for your support," Her sincere words touched the heart of the Duke and the Duchess. "Can you give this to Eve? She'll be teaching at the Imperial Palace 3 days from now. She has to prepare. Please tell her to go and meet me in the evening." Her mother said.

Luna nods as she excused herself. The breakfast and the talk with the Duke and Duchess refreshed her mind. She went outside to look for Eve and as she expected, Eve is practicing her swordsmanship.

Su wen can't help, but to stare at her. Sometimes she wonders how does Eve's delicate hands can raise a sword than a needle.

But then, Eve is created to be a strong character. Despite of Eve's past is her determination in everything. That's why Su wen is willing to do everything to help her. "Did I bother you?" Luna asked as Eve lowers her sword.

"I'm finished Lady Luna." Luna gave her the red envelope. It was indeed an Empire's letter. Eve opens it as she read it in her mind.

As she closed the letter, Eve sat on the tree as she closes her eyes. "Do you want to sleep?" Luna asked. Eve nods as she leans on the tree.

Luna also sat down as she lays on her butler's thighs. "Your dress will get dirty, Lady Luna." Even though her eyes are closed, she can still feel Luna's presence.

"It's unfair if only Eve will take a rest." The weather is perfect for the both of them. Luna, who just ate her food found herself looking at the sky.

"Pretty." She whispers as her eyes is filled with joy. Although it was just a whisper, Eve can hear it perfectly.

Luna slightly opens her eyes as soon as she felt someone touching her hair. "Ah– Did I wake you up?" Eve's gentle voice makes her smile. "I dream about Eve."

"Did I do something wrong in your dream?" Eve asked as she looks at her lady. Eve, who felt comfortable at their position slightly pats Luna's head.

"I saw you fighting with Lord Zereth's knight. Eve is so cool that I can't help, but to stare." Eve looks confused as she heard the Lady's words.

"Cool?" Luna chuckles slightly as she looks at her. "Cool! Like if you saw someone with talent and you can't help, but too look at them. That person is considered as cool."

"Then Lady Luna is a cool person." Luna laughs slightly as she heard those words. "What do you mean that I'm cool? I don't even have a talent."

"You smiles brightly like the sun. It is warm and comfortable to look at. More like, the lady is the blessed daughter of Apollo."

"You're giving me too much confidence." Luna said as she slowly sat down from lying. "Isn't it supposed to be like that?" Eve slowly stands up as she taps her uniform.

"The lady is the future Svena's master. You should hold your head high. You should grow as a lady who's respected by all including the people from the Imperial Palace."

"I don't want to pressure Lady Luna, but the Duchess was once discriminated at the Imperial Palace. Despite of those experienced, she stood for herself and prove herself that she's the lady of Svena family."

"The more you shows your weakness the more they will try to bring you down." Luna takes Eve's hand as she stands up.

"You're overthinking." Eve can't read Luna's smile. 'Is that a smile of trust or a smile of fear?' Is what Eve's thinking right now.

"They can talk however they want behind my back. It'll be easy for me to know who's my enemies am I right?" But at some point, Luna is quite right about her statement.

"If a woman is insecure, there'll be a PERSON who will use her to drag me and that'll be quick for me to know since the pattern is easy." Luna stretches her arms as if she's very aware of her surroundings.

"But I can't see any problem right now. So there's no need to worry besides Eve will be there for me." Eve sighs as she heards those carefree words.

"You're putting too much trust on me, Lady Luna."

"Eve is a skilled swordsman and a loyal butler of mine why would I doubt you?" Eve falls in silence, but replies afterwards.

"I'm glad that the lady see me in that way."

"Oh! Before I forgot! My mother said you should go to her office once the night comes. I'm sure it's all about your training with the knights."

"You seem excited than I am Lady Luna." Luna chuckles, but clears her throat afterwards. "Of course, after all I can watch you teaching the knights for free!" Eve surrenders. She knows that she can't win against Luna.

Because if her master is excited, Eve felt like teaching the knights will be a pain. After all, she already said that she hates men in the first place.
