"Mr. Nyu, come down to my office right away." It was going to be a dark, miserable, and uneventful day today. As I made my way down to the office, I wondered, how long does a person want to live for until they reach a point where there's nothing to live for. As I entered the office, I saw my final paycheck on the desk. "Do you know why I called you down here, Mr. Nyu?" I nodded, to miserable to answer him with words. I'm age twenty-two and I was working as a journalist, I don't find this job very enjoyable, the only reason why I have this job is for my own personal gains, now i'm about to lose it but I could care less. "You worked here for six months now and all you do is investigate something that happened eight years ago. Even after a told you to focus on your work, you decide to ignore me, you need to understand how to get your priority straight if you want to find another job. Mr. Nyu, your fired!"
I walked through the street, looking around, i'm surrounded by a miserable sight. This abandoned hospital brings back a lot of miserable memory and right across it was an old, rundown apartment, that's where I live. While making my way up the stairs, it made a noise, one that only abandoned buildings make, the apartment was at the midst of collapsing. I reached the top of the stairs, to the right was my apartment room, room number 13. I used the rusty key on the rusty door knob, always expecting it to get jammed. As I turned the knob the door opened, back to my safe, little, miserable igloo. I went in my room and laid on the bed, looking around, there are things that I keep that only bring back miserable memory.
Why do I keep these if they only bring me misery? It's because they each hold a story, a very important story, that keeps me awake and thinking at night, telling myself, could I have done more? Everybody has a story to tell, sometimes there exciting and exhilarating with happy endings, others are depressing and miserable with no good ending, the storys i'm about to tell are the depressing and miserable ones. Prepare yourself for the worst, because no matter how much you want to get your hopes up, there is no good ending.
