Waverly couldn’t tell where she was anymore. She felt like she was floating in mid-air in some other world. Looking in front of her, she saw the shadow man. His light-grey figure allowed her to see some features from a distance, such as his tall frame and distinct jaw. He started walking towards her and the closer he got, the more in focus he became until he was clear. It was Sawyer.
Her eyes shot open and she looked to the sky. The sun was past the moon and down behind the mountains with the stars now lighting up the evening sky. Waverly cast her eyes to her hand, which was left dangling alone. Horrified, she tossed her gaze upwards and saw Sawyer standing there, in all of his perfection, turning his hands inside and out in amazement. He faced her and both of them stood still, looking at each other wide-eyed.
