From games where people could earn a living and mostly spend their time, to applications used for meetings instead of physically going to your office. Some even say that only one's imagination is the limitation of VR.

And it was because of one's imagination that even the execution of death row convicts has also transcended reality.

Hopeful Homicide. Introduced in the year 2058, is a Virtual Reality death game where death row convicts around the world are forced to play with the promise of freedom and help of giving the winners a fresh start. As well as "cleansing" their soul.

Now in its ninth year, Grayson L. Riego has no choice but to participate in this brutal death game.

"If we help you find whatever item you're looking for, will you help us look for the others and get out of this maze?"

Marcus started massaging his chin with his right hand. I also see him nodding for a number of times.

"You think you could help me when you're lost in this maze?" Marcus said.

I could feel Siti's gaze directed at me, "I think we could help you," I said.

"Are you sure about this?" Siti whispered.

"Yeah, I think we got this. Trust me," I said. In reply, Siti nodded and said, "Okay."

"And how do you plan on aiding me?" Marcus chuckled, "Do you plan to venture through this maze looking for my treasure when you could not even find the exit?" he said.

Before I managed to reply, Siti grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to her. She leaned to my ears and covered her mouth with her other hand. Siti whispered about how she remembered who the NPC in front of us is based upon in real life.
