Nothing but darkness surrounded a speechless Cianne as she stood as still as a statue. She tried to gather her thoughts, to figure out how she had ended up here, wherever here was. What she did gather was that she was not in her bed where she lay only seconds ago.
It was somewhat difficult to remember what she was doing before, especially in the blackness; but she tried, hoping that by doing so she would uncover an explanation of what had just happened.
The last thing Cianne remembered was that she went for a run through the park across from her house. When she was done, she had gone home and showered. A nap was what she intended for the afternoon but when she couldn't get to sleep, she started looking through photos of her mother.
