You decided that avenging your family is more important than anything else. Logically, you shouldn't give up your food unnecessarily and risk starvation which may ultimately lead to the failure of your vengeance. You leave the eagle shrieking in the cold and walk away, never look back at the eagle which desperately needed the hen. You savor the delicious hen before continuing your journey. After several days of traveling, besieged by cold on all sides, you arrive in a valley where the Blessen River is met by a waterfall. You deduce that the mountains surrounding the valley are Psilus Mountain. To trace the origin of the battle between Grand Master Knight Gennous and the demon, you need to follow the river upstream and in this case, to climb the cliff adjacent to the waterfall. Obviously you can't ride a mule up a cliff, you have to dismount and make the climb yourself.
You hop down the mule, but just as your feet land, you feel a minute tremor on the ground. You hesitate, but before you can decide, a bigger tremor hit your feet. You lie prone and cover the back of your head with both your arms. Suddenly, the ground gives in and you fall into a pit. You stay down until the tremor stops. When you come to your senses, you discover a skull is staring at you on the ground. To your horror, you quickly stand back up, grab the hilt of your sword, and prepare for any monstrosities that may lurk inside the pit. But all is quiet and peaceful, you compose yourself before taking a closer look at the skull only to discover another set of a larger skeleton lying beside. Even at first glance, you would assume that the larger skeleton doesn't belong to a human being due to its size and its reptilian shape skull. Is it the site of the battle between Grand Master Gennous and the demon? That skeleton sure looks like a demon skeleton. If it is, you should be able to find his totem near his remain.
You crouch down and try to look for the totem. You found a rectangular object with a leathery texture. You pick it up and it’s a tome containing simple prayers and oaths. Could it be the totem of the Grand Master Gennous? Out of a sudden, an insidious whisper slips into your ear. “Come here…… Come closer……” It says. At an instant, a sense of euphoria course through your veins. Your eyes are filled with visions of how you defeat Duke Melios. You plunge your sword into his chest, his twisted face of agony, his groan sounds like a sweet melody, how wonderful to hear his suffering! Even after the hallucination fades off, you still feel restless and an unending thirst for vengeance.
You are compelled by your curiosity to locate the source of the whisper, and there it is again! “Come here…… Quickly!” It says. It seems like the whisper is emanated from the demonic skull. What should you do? The whisper of the demonic skull promises great power that'll guarantee the success of your vengeance. However, you don't know the price it exact. The tome on the other hand, is a risk-free option. However, it doesn’t promise successful revenge. How should you decide? Would you choose to avenge your family even at the cost of giving up your soul? Or would you abide by your code of honor and carry out your vengeance honestly?
