A moth to a flame

"Are you scaring me away?" Haley asked, smiling but slightly confused. "Because if that was your intention, you have to do better than that." She was breathing heavily in his arms.

He could feel her fast heartbeat as she pressed her body against his. She could feel her labored breath against his skin as she looked up at his face. There was no sign of fear in her eyes, only defiance.

He wanted to warn her because she was someone that his sister knew. Dani was her friend. She was not just a stranger. But what could he do when she did not want to stay away?

He could not understand his fascination with her since the day he saw her. He thought he could put himself at bay and distract himself by using other women. But seeing her again had him obsessing over her.

"Don't tell me I did not warn you. Because honestly, I can't stop thinking about you." He pulled her closer to his body, making her feel how much she had been on his mind.
