Chapter 81: Balista

“Here. Put this on.” Xander handed me a shiny black helmet and then slid onto his motorcycle. Suddenly, the engine roared to life under him. Then he looked up at me and smiled. “Ready?”

I nodded as a thrill ran through me. I hadn’t been riding with a guy for a while, and I’d always loved it. “We’re going to have to do this more often.” I slid behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist, inhaling his manly, woodsy scent.

Elias smiled as he pulled his bike up beside us. “Ready?” he yelled over the rumble of the engine.

Xander nodded. “Let’s rock!”

Elias led the way, and we followed. It was the first time I went to their bar with them, and I was looking forward to it. I felt honored and privileged that the guys had invited me to their private hangout. But we were together now, and this was a sign they were including me in their lives.
