26. Dinner Time

"Say it! I've forgotten what it's like to be surprised because my own life is full of surprises." The athletic man replied while staying focused on driving.

"I … have an ability that no one else has," Angela said as an opening word.

Jacob stared at Angela's face for a moment then turned his attention back to the street.

"Then," said the man.

"Okay, right away. Last night there was a plume of smoke that took me to my dad's kidnapping site. There I was shown an empty warehouse where my dad was being held hostage. I managed to free him and here we are now. Healthy and not lacking in anything." Answered Angela.

"Then how did you get back here? With that smoke again?" Jacob asked as if he was used to hearing this so it didn't feel strange at all.

"I met a big snake and we were able to return home. Thanks to the snake's help." Answered Angela. She didn't care if Jacob understood or not. At least she had told him the truth.
