Even if a rebellion will happen, it won't last long because of one thing, no, one person, and that person is none other than Houro.
Houro didn't just receive his title as the lion's predator, he gained it.
Lions tend to hunt together with their pack, so the lion could hunt with ease knowing that he is with another one of his kind, because of this, the predator can't do anything to the pack of lions.
Unless...
The predator can also gather his pack, and hunt those lions together, Then it will be another story. A war if I may say so myself.
The Royal Order of the knights.
The first royal army was a group of knights capable of conquering another kingdom by themselves without the help of another army.
Their famous feats were the eradication of the demon army that escaped to the north and the subjugation of the rouge dragon that escaped from the nest of the dragons in the south.
"How did they manage to do it," people ask. It's none other than the fact that their leader is the Lions Predator Houro Douglas himself.
As long as he exists no one can trample this kingdom even with its very own people.
That is why a rebellion will never happen, I'm sure of it.
.
As I was walking around the palace, someone called for me.
"William!"
I turned around and saw a maid with ragged hair and books carried by her slim arms.
"Let me help you with that Lida."
I offered to take the books from her, but as I was about to take the books, Lida turned her body and dodged my approach.
"Please don't mind it, I can't let a prince carry my luggage"
"Isn't it heavy? just let me have some of them."
I offered to retake the books but Lida still dodged.
"Please don't mind the books, I took this opportunity to become a personal keeper of the library myself, so any responsibility that has to do with the library falls into me. " Lida smiled full of sincerity.
"If you say so..."
Ever since I appointed Lida as a keeper of the library she was beaming with joy more than ever, she loves reading, and having work that corresponds with your passion makes her happier than ever. Helping her at that moment was the correct choice, now I have more people to trust inside the palace.
"Oh right, I forgot to tell you! Sir. Houro was just here a moment ago looking for you."
"Is that so? Where is he now?"
"I don't know, but I did see him go towards the direction of your father's office."
So Houro wants something to do with my father, I should go there and meet him.
"Ok thank you, Lida, I'll see you in the library when I go there!" I bid farewell to Lida and rushed toward my father's office.
If I go there fast enough I might meet Houro after he was done talking to my father.
As I was about to reach my father's office, I saw Houro going in, I tried to call him but was too late and didn't manage to grab his attention.
What could Houro want from my father? I am actually getting curious, should I use that skill again? A second time won't hurt, right?
I went closer to the wall and placed my ear at the door, and without a sound, I activated a skill, It's a skill to hear what people are talking about behind the wall. Only a small amount of people can use this skill however because it can only be used by people with the Will of the Spy.
I don't know how I manage to get this skill, but all I remember is trying to use this skill when I was reading about it back in the Library and it worked successfully.
As the skill finished activating the sound behind the room was fully heard inside my ear.
I am thankful that my father is powerful enough to not have guards outside his room, there was a time when the knights suggested it, but my father was offended instead so the idea was scrapped.
Anyways, father and houro were finally audible.
"Why did you do it," Houro asked.
"It has to be done, there was nothing that I could do." My father answered.
"You do know everything could have been avoided if you just didn't do it," Houro said.
What is this "it" that they're talking about?
"Everything is already in play Houro, all the missing pieces are finally aligned together, all you need to do is do your role."
"Why! just why! why do you not do anything to stop it!" Houro yelled.
"Listen to yourself Houro, did you not want to do this role? Did you not like to do this a long time ago!"
"I changed Ezekiel, I changed. I'm no longer the person that I was before, I grew to like the kid that I once hated Ezekiel." Houro voice started to shake. "That kid was the only remaining thing that she left behind in this world, Ezekiel! So help me stop this please, I beg of you."
"As much as I want to stop all of this Houro, I can't do anything. William has already started to train his will. Everything that he said has become true Houro... Tell me... Tell me what I should do to stop all of this!"
Huh? What does this thing have to do with me?
"..."
"That's right Houro, nothing! I can't do anything to stop all of this! His fate was decided the moment he was born, the moment that she died!"
"Since you already knew he trained his will, why didn't you stop him?"
"I can't... I simply can't. Other than William, I have a country to take care of, I can't just abandon my very own people Houro."
"Don't you hate it? don't you hate the fact that everything is going according to what he said? It's not too late to stop all of this Ezekiel."
"You know... I used to hate it, I used to hate that everything he said will happen to my very own child, but her Will still linger on him Houro, It has to be done."
"But..."
"Do you want her sacrifice to go in vain Houro? Do you want that Ariallette died for nothing, that she sacrificed herself so nothing will happen? If nothing will happen, we will always be a slave, do you want that Houro? No, The Lions Predator."
"Fine! If you want it to happen so bad then I shall make it happen!!!" Houro was enraged, he quickly rushed to the door.
Crap! he's going to see me!
I moved out of the way then "BAM!" the door opened, thankfully I was hidden behind one of the doors. The way that Houro walks seems like his annoyed.
I should probably go back to my room.
