Chapter 15, A fool

As Ivan pulled out the dagger, he decided Elijah might be hungry when he wakes up. So he decided to help himself to the Salvatore's blood; he grabbed 5 for Elijah and 15 bags for himself.

After about 10 minutes, Elijah slowly started to wake up. As he opened his eyes, he saw Ivan, "what kind of magic is this? Who the hell do you think you are? I'll kill whoever's making me see my dead brother!

Elijah immediately attacked Ivan, but since he just woke up, Ivan just dodged his punch and hit him in the stomach, letting him slide back from the force.

Ivan then smiled, "you know, brother, just because you're older doesn't mean you can beat me. Do you remember? You never once beat me in a fight; heck, I'm even a better hunter than you. Now calm down and let me explain.

"Ivan, how are you alive. We buried, placed your body in a cave blocked by a boulder." Elijah looked down at his younger brother, surprised and confused. "That's not why I'm here, Elijah. You failed our family. Now you follow Niklaus like some rabid dog doing as he commands. "Where is Rebekah, Kol, Finn."

"Niklaus he," Elijah's words got caught in the back of his throat. Ivan was right; he had waited too long to see Niklaus for what he indeed was. "That dagger in your hand puts us to sleep and locks us inside our bodies. Niklaus had used them to keep us in line for hundreds of years. He finally grew tired of our siblings, so he tossed them in the bottom of some ocean. But don't worry, brother he will pay for what he had done, and with you here, he won't stand a chance." Stepping forward, Elijah reached out his hand, hoping for his brother to take his wrist as they did in the past.

"You're a fool, like father always called Klaus. You think Niklaus is the only one that has crimes to pay for. You failed our family by watching on in fear as he did what he wanted with our siblings." Before Elijah could react, Ivan pushed him with his full might sending him crashing into the wall behind him.

"You're no brother of mine," Elijah said as he picked himself up from the ground. "Who do you think you are impersonating him." Elijah narrowed his eyes as he fixed his clothes.

"It seems you truly are a fool," Ivan said with a frown on his face. Both originals but one was stronger, sure Ivan had spent the last thousand years asleep in a cave, but he understood something that Elijah and Niklaus didn't. Arrogance was a weakness. Why would they train, learn the art of fighting? They were vampires; they didn't need to. That would be their downfall. No other vampire could stand up to them because they were better, older, stronger. Ivan was different. As they charged at each other, he didn't do what Elijah was expecting; instead of a head-on collision, he ducked under Elijah's punch at the last second. Sending an elbow at his face, Ivan watched as it connected, sending Elijah reeling for a second. But on a second as he immediately regained stable footing and charged again. It was a clean punch that managed to hit Ivan in the gut, but Elijah had always lost when it came to fighting between the two of them. The reason for that was simple: since he was older he thought he was better, even when he took Ivan seriously his inability to follow through was his weakness. Even now when he didn't believe Ivan to be himself he held back just in case he was. "You truly are a fool, Elijah," Ivan said as he charged forth once again, throwing Elijah into the wall. "Instead of fighting over tatia you and Niklaus should have been training." "What?" Elijah didn't even have time to take in that statement before Ivan was once again upon him, only this time, the dagger was in his hand. "Ivan," Those were Elijah's last words before he was one again trapped inside his own body.

Looking down upon Elijah's Body, Ivan sighed, "now I'll let you experience what our siblings are going through a little longer. You can also be sure I will free them that I vow." Ivan finished speaking with determination. And then turned to leave as he had to find a place to lay low.

Thirty minutes later, standing outside of a lovely one-story house that is surrounded by trees covered in bright green leaves. Ivan walks up to the door and knocks twice.

Caroline, who was lying in bed freaking out, wondering how she's a vampire. "What's going on? It shouldn't be possible. I've read all the stories and myths that when a werewolf is turned by a vampire, they die a painful death. Sigh, if only I could ask someone I wanted to ask Ivan, but he seemed like nothing could stop him. I wonder what happened." As she was deep in thought, she heard someone knock on the door. She put on a deep purple nightgown and went to open the door. As the door opened she gasped in surprise thinking 'I was just thinking about him, is he psychic?'
