CHAPTER 6: The Beginning

I was dead and I know that. But, right now, I was being pulled to an endless-like warp. I know what's going on. Adara succeeded in turning back the time in this world. I just let myself be pulled in that warp. I closed my eyes and feel the moment.

When I felt that I was pulled out in the warp, I suddenly felt that I was stuck. What's this? Wait.

Why am I..in..a..WOMB?!

The h*ll! I was startled that I unconsciously kicked my mommy's tummy. It's okay to call her mom, right?

I was surprised at myself that the words came out naturally to me. It's like I was born to be with them.

My goodness! Is this real?! I couldn't imagine myself witnessing this kind of scene.

"Ow! Our baby is so strong! She just kicked me! *laughs*" I was shocked when I heard my mom's voice. Wow! This is just amazing!

"Ow, ow, ow. I think she's going to come out." I was even more shocked when I heard that. That fast? I was brought here just a few moments ago. But, maybe I'm 8-9 months inside this body and my consciousness just came back to me a while ago.

I heard my mom called out to someone named "Wonderland". From the memories of the past Avyana, I think it's the Head Maid. But, really? There's a name like that? *laughs* Their names here are truly unique.

I was startled when I felt that mom tried to push me out of her womb. After many tries, I finally met the outside world.

I was now reborn as Avyana with the memories of my past life and the memories of the old Avyana. This is my family now. I have a family to call from now on.

I felt that I cried a lot. Oh, of course, I'm a newborn baby. I still can't see properly but I can hear them. I felt the warmth when mom hugged me.

"Your Grace, she truly is a beauty!" I heard a woman's voice said.

*smug grin* Yes, I am!

"It's unmistakable because I am her mom, Wonderland." I heard my mom retorted. So, that woman's voice earlier is Wonderland. Pfft! Now, I get it. My mom's name is Alice and the head maid's name is Wonderland. Wow! WONDERFUL! Alice and Wonderland. *laughs*

"My daughter certainly got her charm from her mother. Thank you, my lovely wife, for bringing this precious girl to the family." Oh, it's father, Duke Alessandro. I think father had a conference from the palace and hurriedly came here when he knew that her wife was in labor. From his heavy breathing like he'd run all the way here, I knew that I guessed right.

I felt his sincere feelings when he said that. I never felt this in my past life. Having parents like this, I'll definitely treasure and honor them. I won't let them die in this life.

"Greetings to His Grace, Duke Red." I heard the late greeting of Wonderland to father.

"A, if someone's looking for the Reds, send them out even if they're the Royal family. We won't entertain people today." I heard my father instructs the butler. Yes, A is our butler. *laughs* I already know that but I can't help to laugh. The butler's name is like declaring that our names start with the letter 'A'.

"Can I hold my daughter?" I heard my father said to mom. I was then peeled off from my mom's embrace and was embraced again by my father. I can feel his strong arms from all those training, holding me like I'm some kind of delicate flower.

"Hello, my little girl. This father of yours will protect you with all his life." I heard my father genuinely said. He didn't mind that others were watching him. He just openly show his feelings. I was moved and it makes me cry. I didn't even realize that I started to cry.

"Oh, my little girl, why did you cry? Do you not like this father of yours? I am so sorry." father said frantically and apologetically. This prideful duke who never apologized to anyone, just apologized to her daughter. I was truly moved. I'm sorry, father. This small body is just sensitive.

I heard my mom laughed. Maybe it's because of the panicked look on father's face.

"She's mad at you for saying that, Alessandro." mom chuckled at father. I wish I could see his face right now. I can't imagine the fearsome duke to be like this. I felt that mom fetched me from my father's embrace and rock me to calm me. A mother's embrace is really great. Hmm.

I wonder when will the three brothers made their appearance. It seems that they're not here.

"Mother, father!" I jumped at the sudden appearance of the three brothers. The doors of my mom's room opened and closed with a bang. Speak of the devils.

"Alexander, Adonis, and Axel! Were you not taught properly by your tutors in proper etiquette? Or you're just slacking off on your studies? You want me to teach you myself?" Uh-oh! She's mad now. Is this really my sweet mom? She's a tigress.

"We're sorry, mother. We're just excited when we heard from the maids that our baby sister was born. I will accept your punishment whatever it may be." one of the three brothers said. I think it's Alexander because he's more sensible than the two.

"Your little sister was startled because of your carelessness." Wow! You noticed it, father? "Boys, to the training grounds now!" Uh-oh! He's scary. Father has a powerful voice that commands respect and authority. The Reds are the most trusted ally of the King. The head of the house was given the authority to manage all about military stuff. So, all knights from this kingdom were trained by our family. Generations passed and it's still in the Reds' authority. That's why it's a big setback to father and this family's reputation when they were imprisoned and labeled as criminals in the past life. I won't let that happen this time.

"Yes, father." said the three brothers in chorus. After that, all I hear is the footsteps walking away and the sound of the closing door. Poor brothers.

"Don't be too hard on them, Alessandro. They're still young." my mom said to father. Of course, she's worried. They are her children too.

Mom, unlike father, just came from a Baron's household. They knew each other when mom trained to be a knight. They're like heaven and earth in terms of their nobility rank, but still, they loved each other and were both supported by their families.

I suddenly felt another warm hand touched my small hand. Oh, it's father's hand!

"I know, wife. I will just make them sweat a little. How can they startle my innocent little girl who didn't even do anything?" So, you're punishing them because they made me startled? Oh, father, it's obvious that you have favoritism. It's just a natural reaction. Poor brothers, you're being punished by just startling me. *sigh* Mom and I are the only sensible in this family.

"Make them sweat a little more for startling their sister. She's like a delicate flower. We need to be more careful with her." I internally facepalmed when I heard what my mom said. *sigh* I guess it makes me the only sensible in this family.

"Pardon my insolence, Your Grace. But, I think we need to arrange more knights to guard the young lady." Oh, not you too Wonderland! *sigh*

"Yes, that's a very good suggestion, Wonderland. What do you think, Alessandro?" I heard my mom said enthusiastically. Oh, mom.

"Indeed, that was good advice. I need to go now to prepare for that matter." Oh, father. I wish I could talk right now. How can I stop them from their plan? Hmm. I can cry, right? Okay, let me try.

I felt that my parents looked at me with panicked looks on their faces. I succeeded in crying out loud.

"I guess she didn't like that plan. Let's just settle for five knights to guard her. It's enough, right?" mom worriedly said. How many were you going to arrange guards for me earlier? *facepalm* Five is still many, mom!

"It's not enough. I'm planning to get her 20 or 30 knights. But, since she doesn't like that idea, we can settle for 10 knights." 20 or 30 knights?! You're overdoing this, father. *sigh* How am I going to cope with all of you? I want to faint.

"Yes, let's settle for 10 knights." I heard my mom agreed.

It can't be helped. I guess I will just cry.
