As usual, I needed to find another job. One where they don't discriminate people with tattoos, and such. I got in to a cafe, and started right away because she badly needed help with lifting things. The lady was too old and by the looks of it, one lifting could crack her bone up.
"Is this all, boss? Got any more needed lifting?" I asked as I loaded the last box in the stock room.
"No, have you eaten dinner? Come and join me. My Nephew usually comes but I guess he is too busy with his work."
"Old lady, I mean, boss. If he didn't come then you would've lifted these things inside on your own? Guess your grandson didn't think about you."
She laughed, "it's a little bit complicated than that."
"Yeah, whatever." I told her and took the dishes from her hand and let her sit on one of the tables. The old lady fed me tons of food from her fridge since she said her grandson couldn't come. She prepared so many dishes just for him and yet he didn't come. What kind of job does he have to not even come home to this kind of food?
...
Meanwhile...
Yoon-gi was the first one to leave the company building after a series of shoots and meetings. He met with the company's other artists, consuming his time time.
He didn't noticed that it was already pass ten in the evening. He was hungry and tired. He could barely drive himself home when he met Jin outside the building.
"Yoon-gi ah want to go to my aunt's cafe? she asked me to come with friends but other members are going home. She said she prepared dinner." Jin looked into Yoon-gi with hopeful. eyes that he didn't have the heart to say 'no.'
He nodded and got into his car, since he wasn't driving and snoozed off a little on the passenger side.
"Yoon-gi, wake up we're here." Jin woke his passenger with a tap on his shoulder. "Come on, hurry."
The reason Jin was hurrying was because he could see his Aunt eating with someone already from the glass windows. In his hurry, he got off the car and headed straight inside. Leaving Yoon-gi still stretching from his sleep, he rubbed his eyes and turned to look outside and saw a familiar motor bike parked near them.
He shrugged the thought away and followed Jin.
...
"Aunty!"
My boss and I were startled by the sudden greetings of a man who just burst inside the cafe. I turned to look at the punk.
"This is the nephew I was talking about, this is Seokjin." She informed, then folded her arms to her chest. "I thought you couldn't come?"
"I got stuck in work... I--" The tall guy looked at me, and then to my boss with a worried expression. I saw my boss wink and shrugged. She stood up to greet her nephew and whispered something.
The tall dude studied me then someone followed from behind him with dark hair and a mask.
We met eyes for a brief moment, but then he looked away while I shifted my eyes to the tall man. He is handsome, I give him that, and he has broad shoulders and lean features. He looked like he just walked straight out off a runway, together with his friend who followed from behind.
Something about their face looked very familiar, but I can't seem to know where.
"As I was saying, this is Han Hye-Ri. My new employee; she works here with me now. Oh! Hello Suga!" She greeted the other one with a smile.
I nod once to him then continued eating. As long as I get to eat free, I don't care who comes in.
"Come in and seat, join us. I cooked a lot of food and Hye-Ri helped me prepared it. She's just not a waitress, but she's also a barista and a cook!"
I looked up to wink at her, and then continued eating. Since the table is for four seaters, my boss and I sat across from each other, so his nephew sat next to her and the other guy sat next to me.
We ate in awkward silence after that. No one spoke a word unless my boss asked something. I felt the dude beside me stare at my finger tattoos, so I put it in a fist and side eyed him. He must've noticed then continued to ignore me for the rest of the night.
The guy called Jin and Sugar left, but the guy sugar took a little too long to look at my face when I went out for smokes.
...
"What's up with that woman? She looked like she would kill you in a heartbeat. Did you see her first when you looked at her tattoos?"
Yoon-gi didn't bother to respond, he just looked out the window to the familiar silhouette standing outside the cafe lighting a cigarette.
He gasped.
