Markus Chambers & Calvin Parham grew up in a society where everybody was genetically engineered using an unknown scientific factor that supposedly eliminates the chances of a child experiencing same-sex attraction. In the likelihood of a slip-up, the child is disposed of. Somehow, a chemical mixup went undetected and a few children of the group experienced same-sex attraction.
