From Structure To Chaos

"That isn't to say my ability is completely crazy…" continued Antonio,a look of embarrassment on his face. "My Trait is actually one of the weakest; see they're sorted into a hierarchy of increasing tiers starting at Bronze, then Silver, Gold, and the legendary Platinum level, but that's just a myth, the world ain't seen one of those in hundreds o' years - mine is just a stronger Bronze tier trait."

James took a few seconds to process this information before laughing to himself. Antonio looked confused, then a little bit mad, yelling "What's so funny kiddo, I might have a Bronze tier trait but they can evolve you know! I'm pretty close to Silver -", before being interrupted by James, still slightly chuckling, saying, "I guess no matter where you go, you can't escape hierarchy".

Antonio's expression improved slightly, before getting a massive grin on his face. "Just to let you know, I'm also a Middle stage cultivator, you should count ya lucky stars that you met me kid!"

"How so, didn't you try to kill me earlier?" retorted James, remembering that little detail after the information overload that he'd just been subjected to.

Antonio quickly chimed in, "Nah nah nah, that's what I like to call 'hands-on teaching', see, traits need to be activated before you can use them - a surefire way to do that is to just put yourself in grievous danger ya feel? You're so boring…"

Noticing the slightly familiar phrasing, and looking back at the mannerisms of the rabbit in front of him, something clicked.

"Wait a minute, Dan, is that you?" asked James, both confused and slightly wary that he wasn't just looking for some hope in this strange situation he'd found himself in.

Hearing this, 'Dan' was incredibly flustered for a moment, looking left and right to see if there were any hints of his identity lying around - before quickly realising this completely gave him away.

With a slight chuckle, and a spontaneous cloud of smoke, the original figure of Dan that James recognized walked out with a look of embarrassment on his face. "Yeah, it's actually Antonio Tempesta, that part wasn't a lie".
