Challenge (1)

I raised my body from the bed, the chime that I awoke to. shifting my hands over, I brought my phone over. Squirting, I succeeded in removing the sound.

I let loose a yawn, stretching my arms into the air before falling back on the pillow. Turning my body to the side, lights could be seen leaking through the crevices underneath the door.

Noel and Nine must have woken up.

On this note. Today was the day the Second Lieutenant was looking forward to. I wonder why? I've gotten wind that there will be some sort of demonstration today.

How sleepy…

I sat back up and rubbed my eyes.

A thousand points.

Shaking myself awake, I reread the contents. Indeed, this week's special quest would have a great impact on my daily life. Since the beginning, I have been maintaining my usage of concealment magic. It had already turned to the point of subconscious tuning.

"Moreover, I can't tell Noel about this.."

I brought up another UI to view a small Noel. He was currently taking a shower, a censored block there to prevent me from seeing unnecessary parts of his body. I promptly evaded my eyes and threw the panel away.

Bringing up the shop, I scrolled through the items list as I would do daily, stopping at a certain item-- the philosopher's stone.

My decision was still wavering. I lacked knowledge and information. Should I ask Noel for the skill book for common sense II? My instincts however, were telling me that it wouldn't bring me any closer to my goal. What exactly should i do..

I was about to close the windows when a blue item reflected in my eyes.

Loxiblue Tea.

Description: a special tea that helps improve mana circulation. Eaten raw, it will be poisonous to the body but toxins will be eliminated under the heat of boiling water, thus consuming it as tea is considered safe.

Though I was hesitant to get myself the Philosopher's stone despite Noel's constant reminder that I was allowed to acquire anything from the shop, I did not feel any resistance to buy this tea.

I suppose Noel wouldn't mind this.

I bought a palm-sized bag of Loxiblue tea for 100 points. It contained leaves that glowed in a devilish blue colour in this dim lit room.

I'll be looking forward to the taste. Putting the bag aside and dissolving the UI panels, I turned on the lights and looked at myself in the mirror. I arranged my hair and clothes that had loosened around my shoulder.

Before I left, I gave my room another glance. My eyes stopped at the view outside the window.

It was no longer raining.

Hm…

Brushing my teeth as I checked on this week's special quest and today's special quest, I felt as if my mind was about to explode.

Catch Liliath naked-- I remember the first time I did that, I was guaranteed 50 points. This time around, it would be 500 points, a ten times difference. OH MY GAWD.

But to catch Liliath naked? That's akin to SUICIDE!

I'll assume my TALENT won't suddenly teleport me to the bathroom when Liliath is taking a shower 'on-a-whim' and that I'll have to actually put effort into completing this quest.

"Oh, catch Liliath naked huh? I think i can help you with that."

Hearing her voice, I jolted. Spitting out the toothpaste in my mouth, I gave Nine a glare.

"What? It's 500 points. You can buy a lot of stuff with that right?" Nine, in her female form complete with her school uniform and pristine white blazer asked in a quizzical tone.

"Yeah. I guess it'll be enough to get 100 grams of a raw dragon steak."

"Then it's a good trade off don't you think? I'm sure Liliath wouldn't kill you for this. In fact, I think she would gladly accept your peeking."

"Hey Nine. Can you remove the secret cameras you've placed inside the apartment?"

"Using the switch to another topic technique to dodge the topic eh?"

"Yup. But there's a serious need for privacy here? I'll ask for Liliath and Prune's petition if you're not going to do something about it."

"Okay. Okay. I got it," Nine walked outside, and before she left I heard her mutter, "And so will proceed with operation, sneak-a-peek at Liliath after this. I'll go get the cameras ready."

"I told you not!?"

I quickly finished brushing my teeth and rushed out to double check Nine's intentions. Prune was sprawled across the couch in the living room, her bushy tail laid across her stomach while still in her pajamas, she held her phone towards the ceiling. Eye unfocused, mindlessly swiping her fingers across the screen.

"Morning Prune." I said.

"Morning," she said lazily, still scrolling her phone.

"Um, are you alright?"

"Nn," she gave a lazy nod, and then a yawn. "We're going to eat food from another world right? I'm kind of expecting it."

"Nine went to her room right?"

"Nn," she nodded again-- and then as if something struck her, she sat up and stretched her hands. "What about it?"

"She left a bunch of secret cameras around without us knowing-- was it her, i don't know.."

"What?"

"Yeah.."

"Noel, It's for security sake you know? I wouldn't know what would happen if a thief or someone like that would appear or.. what if there were paranormal things happening around here?" Nine returned from her room with a tissue box. The hell? Is that the security camera? That tissue box looks exactly the same as the one in the bathroom.

"That's just an excuse for stalking isn't it?" Prune asked, sending a curious glance at the box in her hand.

"Yes and no. Liliath told me it actually happened. You were possessed by the mexican ghost. It's a serious issue," Nine said with a serious look on her face. Colour me surprised. Did that actually happen?

"I-It's real?" Prune shivered.

"Even if it was real, it looks like Liliath can do something about it," I said.

"Yup. And so I'll set up another secret camera in the bathroom with Noel's permission.." Nine held the tissue box to the sky with a triumphant look.

"You pervert!" Prune shouted.

"For the sake of 500 points. We need more points for dragon steak, if not it just wouldn't be enough."

True. Since we're planning to eat dragon meat for dinner, I was thinking of spending around 2000 points for 400 grams. But I have around 5000 points to spend though..

"What do you mean? Noel, what quest do you have for this week?" Prune scowled at me.

"I'm not saying it until Nine decides to NOT put a camera inside the bathroom and-- remove every other camera inside the apartment."

Man.. how did it come to this...

"G-good morning? A rather enlightening early commotion it seems?" Liliath interrupted.

"Too late Noel. Better luck next time."

"Hopefully.."

Nine, in hand a tissue box and turned around.

"Nine, remove the cameras," I reminded.

"Yeah, yeah."

"What camera?" Liliath asked.

And so, a verbal petition was signed, Nine had no choice but to take down all the cameras in front of our eyes. You'd be surprised where those were located.
