Everyone Died (6)

They had their second whisper discussion. I have no clue why they had to whisper, Bleu could literally read minds you know? I wonder if Nine realized that yet.

As if sensing my thought, Bleu gave a secret thumbs up towards my direction. GREAT.

"I want to confirm something, Noel and Liliath are safe, correct? Second, this is due to Noel's TALENT and not some kind of quantum force. Third, we're going to be reincarnated into a fantasy world with sword and magic, correct?" was Nine's question after discussing with Prune.

"Noel and LIliath, I can assure you they are safe and well. Yes, as you said, this is the effect of Noel's TALENT, more specifically, it has to do with Liliath's evolution quest. As for the third question, the world is oriented towards a japanese styled adventure isekai. Of course, there are also otome, eroge elements found in aristocratic interactions. As for martial skill and endless fighting, evolving and meditation sequences such found in chinese styled xianxia or wuxia genre and game-like grading systems found in korean novels, those unfortunately make up only a few minor elements in the world."

"What the.." Nine was taken aback.

"Prune, you'll be customizing your own unique skill tailored to suit your needs," Bleu showed a peace sign.

"I didn't.." Prune had her eyes open wide, her ears twitched in response.

"Yup, I can read your thoughts. It's a minimum requirement for god and goddesses."

"Shit." Nine said out loud.

"Hehe, it's too late, I heard everything," Bleu smiled at Nine. A very.. very cold smile. Nine could be seen shivering.

"Okay, that's our queue, go, go, go. Move out," Unknown said lazily and deactivated the barrier between us.

"Huh?"

"Liliath!"

Nine turned towards us with eyes like a gecko who had lost its head while Prune sprung up and jumped towards Liliath. Liliath made the effort to make sure she didn't flop to the ground of course.

"Sup, so how's life?" I said, joking.

"WHAT THE FUCK YOU ASSHOLE. You know what kind of shit happened for me to get here?!"

"Yes, I do. You saw your own private part. It's not a big deal, he's right when he said he saw it more times than you," Bleu said, to which I can only answered in my mind with: what the fuck?

"Bitch!"

"Noel called you bitch a lot too you know?"

"Asshole!"

Wow. Crap. Nine has totally lost it. She's banging her hands on the ground like some child throwing a tantrum.

Actually, I think that's the normal behaviour of someone who suddenly got told they're going to be reincarnated just to find that it's just a prank gig.. that is also real at the same time because they're going to go to Liliath's world.

"Same. That's fairly odd. Noel is the only person who wasn't killed by himself. Ah, Noel, I just remembered that your other self told me to give you his regards," Liliath who was talking to Prune suddenly said to me.

"What do you mean?"

"So how did Noel die then?"

"Killed by Liliath of course."

"I-I'm sorry.."

"It's alright.. I'm sure it's all part of the plot.."

Surely… What if I actually died though.. oh wait, I did. Because of that, I'm now a demon lord. But I didn't get the part about the other me though? What do mean, his regards? Who's regards?

Nine calmed down after a while and everyone was brought to the usual chat spot now with an extra couch. Unknown got to introduce himself as my system developer and the person who will create the unique skill of their choice.

After Prune, Liliath and Nine piece together their story, the conclusion was that they apparently met their future selves. This was confirmed by Bleu. In fact, they are the us who had just completed the evolution quest. Which would mean that we'll have to meet our past selves in the future..

Is this an infinite paradox? What the fuck?

Bleu did warn us to not try to purposely shift the loop, Unknown added that the system will correct the time stamp issue but just like the distortion function, but it also has its limits. Moreover, it wasn't like the current Blue we're talking to is willing to get involved with the other us. The other us has another Bleu. So they're infinite copies of Bleus.

I learnt something new today.

In any case, it seems our future self will take our place in the modern world until we complete Liliath's evolution quest.

"Nine, what ability would you like?"

"What?! Seriously? I get to pick and choose?! What is Liliath and Noel's abilities," Nine almost dropped the chocolate milkshake he was sipping.

"Liliath's unique skill is [God's Eye], she can locate anyone so as long as she has the correct data. Noel's ability is [Widget], he can basically ask me to create any sort of system functions such as a notepad, world map, dictionary, catalog, tracker, book reader. And just a note, you can also attach widgets to other people, Noel."

"What?"

So apparently my unique skill isn't just the ability to use the UI. I can attach it to practically anyone? Which means Liliath, Prune, Nine and even the inhabitants of Imagi world.

"Ah.. I saw my future self use a UI too. Maybe that's what it is.." Prune said.

"Heehh.. That's overpowered.." Nine had a dumb smile on his face, he looked like he could drool any moment, "Unkown, you said I can request for absolutely anything right?"

"Depends on how you define 'anything', keep it overpowered, but in moderation."

"Then.. the ability to copy, paste, cut, delete and record. I mean it in an absolute sense. I can even copy and paste food, or my own, or other people's statuses?"

"I can't have you duplicate objects but as for statuses, I have no problems with that. Then you'll have to depend on Noel's unique skill. A notepad and keyboard should help with that unique skill of yours.." Unknown said as he recorded it down in his UI. "I actually didn't want to give you a proper status window but I guess I'll make an exception for you. And god-class appraisal skill and god-class status concealment skill.. and something extra."

"God damn fuck yeah!" Nine pumped her fist.

God damn, it's OP skills galore. I'm sure if we actually wanted to, we could kill the demon lord like.. super duper easily.

"Keep cussing in moderation, it's bad for the heart," Bleu directed her index finger at Nine.. and at me, sorry.

"Alright, alright. Sorry about that, and thanks for the milkshake."

Literally.. the only thing Bleu needed to do to calm Nine down was give her a chocolate milkshake.

"Next up is Prune. Any ideas for a unique skill?"

"Does the ability to return to the modern world count?"

"Sorry. I don't want to interfere with the timeline so I suggest you refrain from that. You'll definitely return to Earth, so enjoy what you can here."

Prune nodded, and started pondering.

"Noel.. this is cheating.." Nine whispered. Not really since I could hear her say that from a coffee table away.

"I know right.."

Most novels give the MC either secretly OP skill or straight off the bat an OP skill that ruins the entire process of hard work. Hey.. does that mean it'll happen to us too? That's actually bad isn't it?

The skill set we have is like.. in an honest sense, way too OP.

"I think things in relation to daily life would be an issue. It's a medieval setting right? In that case, are there any abilities I can pick that can help with that?" Prune brought up a rather logical issue.

Surely, things like procuring food, shelter and maintaining hygiene would be a problem.

"Ah.. you don't need to worry too much about that in the capital. Imagi is currently in the process of entering its magic revolution, so things like bath amenities and cleaner toilets have come into existence," Bleu said.

"I would have to question your definition of a 'clean-toilet'," Unknown gave Bleu a side-long gaze.

"It's improving.." Bleu jerked when our gazes were all directed at her, "I get it-- the sewage system might not be all that advanced yet but trust me, it's not as bad as you think. If not, you can ask Liliath herself."

Everyone shifted their gaze towards the cute little velvet haired demon lord sleeping soundly on my lap.

"We'll ask her about it when she wakes up.. but is it really not an issue?" Nine reconfirmed.

"Just think of it as a new way of life. It's unavoidable."

"True," Prune nodded.

"If you're worried about those things then how about a house dimension?"Unknown asked.
