I grabbed him by the hem of his clothes. A brief pause.. and he moved. My hands slipped.
W-was he mad? H-he knew that I tried to do something to him yet..
"Ah, Noel, what's going on inside?"
"Nothing really.. could you two turn around, close your eyes and ears for a moment.
"There's definitely something fishy going on.."
"That's why I'm telling you to do that."
He was talking to someone outside.
"No. No. NO. I want to know what you're up to, if not, I'll report it to security."
"Gabriel-chan.."
"What?"
"C-Can I come out.. now?"
I got up from this incredible couch and walked over to the entrance.
He looked like the world had just ended..
"Nevermind. I'll just bring her back for a bit."
"Hey?! Who is that?!" the girl with brown hair spoke.
I gave her a brief introduction of my name.
"Rinalanashina-sama," he called out my name.. my name and even included -sama to it..
It came as too much of a shock that my body didn't know how to respond.
"Y-yEs?!"
"You know where's your own room right?"
"Yes I do?"
He widened the gap of the door.. how come there were two adjacent rooms connected to each other.. and that previous room had a design that I have never seen.. I shouldn't be thinking about this at the current time. I have to obey his words.
"T-Then I will take my leave.. thank you for helping me.." I bowed and walked out.
Wrong.
This was wrong.
He wasn't accompanying me..
It felt wrong.
My heart gripped at me, telling me to stop.
I paused. And turned to him.
I didn't understand.. he was my step brother yet.. tried to deny our relations. Not to mention, he looked very cool.
And..
I had even attempted to kill him.. which ended up in failure.
I want him. I want him. I want him. I want him. I want him.
"I'm sorry.." I said, contrary to the torrent in my chest. I left.

My sluggish body had regained its previous vigor.. or beyond that. What exactly was that he had me drink?
I knocked twice.
The receiver on the other end was July-sama.
"Rin-aneesan! What happened?!"
"Some complications. I'm alright now.." somehow.. I was told to not mention the matter. I didn't understand.
"You had fun hadn't you?" April-sama who was situated on the other bed-- she was already in her clothes.
"My apologies."
"What a disgrace," she said. I lowered my head.
"Ne, what happened?" July-sama was kind enough to ask me about it.
I shook my head. 'He' had said to assume the evening never happened.
I walked over to face myself in the mirror. My hair was a mess, my dress was slightly wet from the sweat. I felt sticky all over, it was an uncomfortable feeling.
"Anee-san.."
"I'm alright July-sama."
"You don't look alright."
I would have to request for a bucket of warm water to clean myself. I heard there was a bathhouse near here though.. was it safe? Or.. did I even have permission to leave for the place?
I was troubled on how I should clean myself tonight. There was July-sama here and April-sama here. I didn't know if I was allowed to borrow the partition.
Should I pay a visit to the dormitory? Maybe I'll stay at Shyna-san's place tonight.. I should've asked him to escort me there.. No.. it would've been too much trouble. He had saved me a lot of trouble..
What was I thinking?! To be forgiven by the very person who I was supposed to kill? What would the Margrave think? What would happen to my life?
Did that mean I had lost my chance for freedom?
How do I proceed in this situation.. What should I do?
"Rin-neesan?"
"Sorry.." I turned and left.
I couldn't.. I couldn't stay here. Shyna-san.. where are you? Shyna-san..
\\

It's over.. my life is over.
I failed.
Failed..
"Excuse me, what business do you have here?"
My feet carried me to the dormitory. It is probably here that Shyna-san is staying. I'll share the room, wash up, have her listen to my feelings.. and cry myself to bed..
I couldn't think of anything I'd want to do at this point.
I had just done something ridiculous. I almost killed someone..
And I myself was almost killed..
"I came here to see a friend of mine. Shyna-san.. a maid of the Bougainvillea household.. d-do you know where she is staying?"
"What did you think would've happened?" an interruption. Down the stairs from the upper floor, a familiarly distant voice sounded.
And beside the source of the voice was the sole daughter of viscount Daisy.
Their eyes met mine.
"Oh, looks like you're feeling better," he said.
"Huh?"
"Do you.. know her?" The viscount's daughter asked in a strained voice.
"In a way," he shrugged.
I averted my gaze. I couldn't meet his eyes-- he was one of my target's accomplices that I had just about to kill.
Death is a common occurrence. And there isn't such a wonderful thing as law to protect the likes of a commoner. Worst would be but the light stigma that murdering brings along with it if say a baron kills a commoner.
"Oh, and if you're wondering what happened to Vincent-san. He's gone now. You don't have to worry about this anymore. And you said Shyna-san right? She's at dorm number 44."
"Number 44.."
Huh? Did he just say Vincent-sa...
"W-wait, what did you mean by that?"
"Shyna-san is safe, Vincent-san is gone-- He might come back though. But you should be safe for now… you can stop pulling my hand.."
"Let's go!"
The daughter of the viscount dragged the person away.
I stood there dumbstruck.
"Peculiar. I should have followed along with them," the head-maid of the dormitory said.
"Miss, do you mind telling me where the guest room 44 is? "
"Third floor. Left turn."
"Thank you."
I dragged my body across the floor in contemplation.
What happened to Shyna-san? What did Vincent-sama do?
I don't understand what is happening anymore..
