Chapter 43

Hye continued to walk in a straight line inside the dungeon and the further he walked in that direction the more battle marks he was seeing. They had smaller or even larger marks than he had first seen before, but all marks, however different they were, were always the same.

After Hye walked in the same direction as the marks, he arrived in a forest that had something like the ocean next to it, since it was so big that you couldn't even see its end. And in that place there was something very similar to a huge whale jumping over the water. That view was wonderful in Hye's eyes, but not everything is flowers, when Hye was approaching he accidentally kicked a small stone in front of him. And when that stone fell into the water it immediately turned to ice, but from what Hye had seen the stone didn't just freeze, it froze from the inside out at a surreal speed.

After a few minutes with Hye looking at those beautiful crystalline waters and wondering how big and resistant that being that was swimming far away in the waters suddenly appeared monsters more or less like penguins only much bigger, those beings were so big as for Hye and some even bigger ones.

While Hye walked through the dungeon without even caring about the cold, Byeol was wondering how he was doing it and at the same time working hard so that he couldn't feel his mana even though she had to feed her little by little thanks to constant decrease in temperature. But what she didn't know was that Hye had already felt her mana, even if only for a few seconds, and that she also already knew that she was there following him, and also that until that moment he didn't care about it.

After following Hye for some time, she and he were amazed by that spectacular view of the being that was jumping over those crystal waters and beside him a wonderful forest that was as beautiful as the waters in his eyes.

Byeol was at a loss for words to describe that view that was in front of him and even though he wanted to look at it for a long time she could not, since Hye was slowly approaching the waters, and her goal was to see how strong he is, and the easiest way to do that she found was to follow all her steps.

As Hye approached the waters Byeol remained close but at a safe distance enough that he would not see or feel her. After he got very close to the waters he got scared and stopped immediately, Byeol was not understanding why he was so scared since she was not able to see very well what was happening up front.

And with her looking at Hye a few minutes passed, and after that time some monsters started to appear next to him. Byeol wondered if she was going to help him or just look. But following his objective, he chose not to interfere and just watch it all.

After feeling the monsters, Hye turned to face them and wondered if that woman would just be looking at all that or she would help him. A few seconds passed and the monsters were starting to attack Hye, and with that he realized that this woman had no intention of helping him with all those monsters. But he didn't care about it at all since the more monsters he kills the better.

Hye wanted to take this chance to see how his shadows would behave in battle, but thanks to that woman following him he thought it best not to show all his powers. When the monsters came close to him Hye with one hand in his pocket and in the other hand a dagger cut four of the monsters that came towards him. But the ones he killed were the smaller monsters, in the larger ones his attack with only brute force and the dagger caused only small cuts.

Hye wanted to get it over with quickly, but with just brute force he saw that it would take a little longer to kill those bigger monsters. But since with brute force it would take a while and he didn't want to show his strongest powers to others yet, so he used his manipulation of electricity to cover the dagger that was in his hands in lightning and with that he went over the monsters and the killed one by one. The first monster was easy to kill, Hye just had to cut him in half since unlike the other two monsters, he didn't run from Hye but went over him.

After killing that one, he was gone and now there were only two left. One ran into the forest while the other slid just like a penguin towards Byeol. Just as Byeol did before, Hye also did not help and went after the monster that entered the forest leaving Byeol behind with the other monster.

Upon entering the forest and leaving Byeol Hye's vision he used the ability to walk through the shadows to get close to the fastest monster kills him and then return to see how the person who was following him would deal with the remaining monster.

'Where did he go?' Asked Byeol when Hye disappeared upon entering the forest

Byeol was ready to go after Hye, but when she came out of her hiding place, a monster slid quickly across the ice towards her. The monster was right in front of her and she was shivering thanks to the cold she was doing in the dungeon, and without being able to quickly increase the mana intensity used in the shield for fear of being discovered by Hye she had to fight even though it was quite cold.

That monster seemed to have some intelligence, since seeing Byeol trembling, he thought that it was fear and went over to her. Byeol narrowly dodged the monster's blow and tried to attack him by punching her, but thanks to the cold she was feeling she hit only one of the punches.

Hye had already killed the monster by taking her shadow and went back to see how Byeol would deal with that monster that he let go towards her. And he was very disappointed with what he saw.

He was not believing that that was all that an S rank was capable of. But after looking a little more at the fight he saw that it was not quite that, since hitting only one of his several punches in the direction of the monster destroyed one of his arms. Then he saw that the problem was not her power, but the cold he was doing in that place. After watching the fight for a few minutes she had finally managed to kill that monster, and even though it was an S rank thanks to the cold even she suffered a small cut on her left arm during that fight.

After the fight was over Hye wanted to take the other shadows that were there, but thanks to that woman he couldn't do that. Then he approached her without her being able to see or feel him and said as he walked slowly behind her "didn't I say I was going to be alone?"

Byeol got scared and fell tripping over the monster's body behind her and as she got up she replied "I was worried about you and decided to come along. But how did you get here? " she asked this because she wanted to know how Hye had come after her without her noticing.

"It does not matter. So, are you going to stay here or are you going to help your guild members? " Hye said trying to change the subject and find a way to be alone.

Byeol was in doubt about what he was talking about and asked "what do you mean by that?"

Hye was wanting her to leave so he replied "Really? Are you slow or what? You got hurt by fighting a monster in this dungeon. Imagine the other members of your guild who are much weaker than you. "

Byeol thought for a moment in silence and said excitedly "you are right! We have to go to them now.! "

As Byeol left walking in the same direction as they came Hye said "us? No we do not! Only you."

Byeol paused for a moment and looked back and asked "are you really going to let them all die?"

Hye turned his back on Byeol and walked away. Seeing this, Byeol understood what he meant and ran away as quickly as possible towards the closest group of members of his guild.

After Byeol left and was far enough away. Hye collected all 6 remaining shadows and named each one from 1 to 7, and now he was finally going to test what they could do in a real battle against another monster. So Hye sent his 7 new shadows to those beautiful but strange waters, so that they could fight against that being that was jumping on the water.
