Chapter 64

After feeling that chill, the shadows quickly gathered themselves and continued to search for Byeol.

And so a few minutes passed

Standing well away from the others and running after a moving shadow, Laila said, "I found her."

Hearing that, the other four quickly stopped running to opposite sides, and went with all their speed towards Laila.

“…”

‘This is not good. This place is full of humans.”

Said Amon and Itzal, as they looked at the huge building in front of them.

‘That won't be a problem, and let's go. For we have to get back to you.'

Zilá spoke, as he walked into the building by his own shadow.

The four followed Byeol around the building, hoping she would be alone at some point so they could do something. But that wasn't happening, as the entire first floor was filled with people, and even the elevator she had taken was full. But the elevator that Byeol was in began to slowly empty, and with each floor that passed, one of the 8 people who were with her left the elevator.

The elevator was reaching the seventh floor and there were still four people in it. Byeol and three other guild employees, who like the others from before were wearing a black heel and skirt, a black blazer and a white shirt underneath.

So when the elevator reached the seventh floor, the three women bowed towards Byeol to show respect as they said; See you next Miss Byeol!

With a sincere smile Byeol said “See you…” as she looked at the women exiting the elevator together.

As the elevator doors closed Byeol felt a slight itch in her eyes, so she closed them and gently scratched with the back of her hand. But when she opened them again, confused by what she was seeing, Byeol muttered "What the… What is this place…"

She didn't understand, Byeol was absolutely sure that moments ago she was standing in the corner of an elevator. So how come she is now in this completely unknown place?

A place completely taken over by darkness where it appears not to have a single point of light, how could it have ended up in this place?

Even though she was wary, taking small steps forward she confirmed that she was no longer inside the elevator. Since the four steps she took were more than enough for her to hit the elevator door, and yet she didn't feel, see or hear anything as she did so.

And she clearly wasn't in the guild building or somewhere nearby. Because Byeol couldn't feel a single hunter around her, so watching this she thought ‘… Am I in a dungeon?…’

But that wasn't really an option either. She couldn't feel a single monster around her. Also, what kind of being could live in such darkness?

At least that's what she thought. Byeol started walking around that place to look for a possible way out. But not many steps after it started, beings emerged from the darkness.

And seeing the color shining in her eyes, with her trembling body she thought, 'No it can't be… I'm wrong, I can only be wrong…'

There were only two beings that had emerged from that darkness, but moments later this number apparently doubled and went to four. And as those blue eyes approached Byeol, she took small steps back as she tried to pull away.

Then, as she walked away, a voice echoed through the emptiness of that place saying, "Our master sent us human."

And upon hearing that, Byeol quickly turned and saw that being that was even bigger compared to the two giants that were in front of her. That being's eyes were shining up there, in a place that was completely out of her field of vision.

‘Our master?! …No doubt about it, it was definitely him… But why send just these five? Does he really have so much confidence in his strength and in the power of his subordinates that he thinks it's unnecessary to come here in person?…’

Byeol was shaking, for she knew that if he wanted to, there wouldn't even be her bones left. But for a second, the pride of an S-rank spoke louder inside her ‘...But I'm still an S-rank hunter, so what makes him think that just those five doormats would be enough to handle me?

And that momentary pride of hers, made her build up enough courage, that she stopped trembling and jumped towards the being that was now in front of her.

"Since I don't seem to have a choice, I'll start the attack and take advantage of the first move."

Standing in front of those blue eyes, she felt a brief shiver. But even with that, she gathered all her strength in her hand, and threw a punch where one of her glowing eyes was.

But to her misfortune, by doing that Byeol realized why Noah sent only those five over there. ‘So that means he never underestimated me. On the contrary… it seems he overestimated me too much…’

Even after receiving in full, an attack where she used all her strength that being remained immobile, and apparently totally fine. However, Byeol who started to attack, hoping to have the advantage of the first blow, had to act quickly as he fell.

As this was happening she saw blue eyes darting up beside her, and by sheer reflex she managed to parry an attack, which was probably a powerful kick that sent her flying away from them.

But when he got up off the ground with one of her broken arms. Even feeling completely bewildered and feeling a great pain throughout her body, Byeol quickly searched for them and saw that glow coming fiercely towards her "How am I going to..."

She raised her still good arm, hoping to be able to fend off that attack. But when that being was next to her…

"Stop!"

Upon hearing the voice, the being stopped immediately. And just in time, as it only had a few inches to reach Byeol's arm. But even though she stopped the attack, only the wind it caused was able to inflict a small wound on Byeol's face.
