Chapter 3.3

-What a curse ... - Hye muttered, realizing that even if he wanted to, he could not leave that place. For when he tried to take a single step back, his whole body shook as he held himself still.

'Crap! ...What the hell is happening to me?' he thought as he returned to the position he had been in before.

Hye looked at his hand, in which the dagger was, and thought 'But, what...' When he saw that his body had stopped shaking completely.

He looked straight ahead, and as he lowered his head, Hye found himself on the edge of a steep descent, something that looked almost like a huge precipice. But unlike the rest of the dungeon, where they had some crystals, which glowed blue, on their walls and ceilings. Both in that decision, as in the passage with more than 80 giant spiders, that Hye had just passed, it was clear that the amount of crystals had decreased, in a good number.

-...Damn...-Muttered Hye, as he tightened the hilt of the dagger, and looked at the precipice, which was not even possible to see the end.

Hye sighed, and even though his mind kept refusing that idea. For some reason, his body continued, practically, forcing him to keep moving forward.

So, with your eyes closed, and with your only weapon in hand. Hye took a small step forward, and began to feel the strong wind, which began to hit his face. A few seconds had passed, but for some reason, he still hadn't made it to the end of that fall. And opening his eyes, in a hesitant way, Hye found himself in the dark.

Hye couldn't see anything, no matter how intently he looked up, or down. But looking ahead, for an instant, he saw that there was something white in that direction. And after slowly stretching his hand in that direction, Hye didn't understand.

He had not been able to see when that creature, which appeared to be three times larger than the previous spiders, jumped towards him. But, for some reason, his body practically defended itself from that attack by itself, by placing the dagger, in front of the huge fangs of that monster.

'A reflection?' thought Hye, as he looked into the spider's many red eyes.

And seeing that he wasn't getting scared, or worried, even though he was in that kind of situation, Hye thought 'Did I finally get back to normal?'

Surely that would be weird in other people's eyes. 'How does he manage to remain so calm, in this kind of situation?' This was probably serious, what anyone would think, seeing how calm Hye was, even in this situation.

But aside from the pain for the loss of his parents, and the hatred he apparently felt for the dungeons. For some reason, the years went by, and Hye was getting used to not feeling. Fear was no longer part of his nature. And he realized that, when he was 15 years old, and a snake, a little over six feet tall, came through his aunt's window, and invaded the kitchen.

At that time, Hye was at the counter, chopping some vegetables. And when he turned around, he found himself facing that snake. So, as he calmly gazed into the snake's green eyes, he was expecting only a single movement from it, and then lunged. Hye turned his head, and walked calmly towards the sink.

And when he took the first step, that snake practically flew towards him. But, in an odd reflex, Hye quickly held it just below his head. Desperate, the snake then began to struggle. However, before she could even break something from that place, or even try to hit Hye, with his tail. That snake saw a quick flash, and after that, she could only see Hye's feet, and a part of his tail. Meanwhile, his eyes closed, slowly.

Then, after dropping the rest of the snake, while looking at the knife, Hye closed his eyes, and sighed, as he continued walking towards the sink.

**********

While looking into the eyes of that spider, Hye looked away for a moment, while aiming at one of her several legs. But that single moment was enough for that monster to realize his intention, and jump back. Dodging Hye's blow, by a hair's breadth.

- Shit! ... - Hye muttered, as he went back again, to free fall.

But that didn't last for long. Even because, right behind him, a smaller spider suddenly appeared, which attacked him, and threw him in the direction that the white spider had gone. So when he was pushed, even though that attack apparently didn't hurt him. Meanwhile, he was going in that direction, without even being able to control, or see the way he was going. A huge white claw suddenly came towards his belly.

And just the shape that he saw, was enough for Hye, to put the dagger towards it, and be pushed back again. But now, the difference in power between the monsters, who attacked him, was more than evident. For, even though Hye had defended that attack, he was strong enough, to push it to the wall, and cause a big hole, at the collision site.

-What the...- While Hye was breaking free of the hole, that monster suddenly appeared on top of him, and tried to attack him again, with his daggers.

"Damn..." muttered Hye, as he held the spider's fangs with his hands.

She was trying to attack him with her claws, but thanks to her size, it was impossible for her to hit Hye, where he was. Or at least, that's what it looked like. But, by using the claws of its two front paws, the spider managed to attack him, and make a small cut on his face, since for very little, Hye managed to dodge.

However, that attack made the wall they were on to shake. And the dagger that was near Hye's feet, right at the edge of the hole, fell, with that brief shudder, into the walls.

"Shit!..." muttered Hye, after failing to hold the dagger, using his feet.

Hye was looking down, and the spider's claw was again coming towards him. Then, in the same instant, he dodged the attack. Hye let go of the spider's fangs, and leapt toward his dagger. But, to his misfortune, the spider jumped right behind him.

'Bastard...' thought Hye, looking at the monster, right behind him.

He reached out her arm, and brought her hand toward the dagger. And every time his fingers touched the hilt of the dagger, Hye gnashed his teeth in anger that he couldn't catch it. Then, when he finally managed to get the dagger, Hye turned in midair, and the last thing he saw was the spider's fangs coming towards him. And then everything went dark.
