Damien saw the boy again. The next day itself. He was in the same class as him. Why did he never see the boy before?

No matter how much he ignored people, he would have known his classmate's face.

"Who is he?" He asked Michael who was sitting behind him.

Michael looked back. " Him? The new transfer student. It's been a two weeks. You saw him just now?"

"Why would I care? I just saw a new face."

Damien went to sit on the back bench.

Michael always sat at the front row and Damien always on the back. This way he could sleep without disturbance. Not that the teachers or the student will dare to wake him up, but he still wanted less noise. And no matter what, he would rank first in the school.

He sat down on his seat and put his bag away. The boy was siting beside him. He was engrossed in a book in front of him. He didn't even look up once from the book. Damien doubted if the boy knew he exists. He must have surely known about him. Damien was the most popular guy and everyone greeted him at school.

The transfer guy looked up from his book only when the teacher came in. During the lectures , Damien slept while the new guy scribbled notes in his book. In between breaks, he would go back to his book or sleep on the bench. During P.E., he was nowhere to be seen.

Damien went mad. He realised he was looking out for the boy all day. The uneasy feeling on his chest was intact from yesterday .

Michael had noticed throughout the day, that Damien was pale .

"You okay? You don't look good."

" I am fine. But find out about that new guy Everything."

" Someone you know? Why are you so interested?"

"I don't know him but he makes me uneasy. Find out by night",He told Michael.

Michael had an extensive information network. He knew everything that goes on in the school. Getting information of him was nothing.

At night, Michael sent the admission file to Damien. Damien went through the profile.

His name was Lucas James Taylor. Eighteen years old. Born two months later than him. His guardian was his Uncle. He came here from the North school on a scholarship for academics. His sports record was good.

He liked reading , writing and sports.

Damien closed the file. There wasn't much details. His record stated he abruptly transferred from his precious school because of personal issue.

Here he didn't have any person. Damien never saw him looking at someone much alone talking. He sat in the corner and mind his own business. But he was sure there was something off about him. Damien didn't like seeing him. He felt weird.

Damien didn't like the way he felt. One day with the guy had already made him mad. He can't stand the guy near him anymore.
